High definition and great quality. Son used it for Halloween. As a funny surprise I uploaded his face to it. It was so detailed that there's no mistake it was his picture. Also uploaded a picture of Winifred (Hocus Pocus), looks just like the picture. We were all very impressed with the lighting, color, and everything it can do. The eye padding is also note worthy as well as being able to see out. I highly recommend this mask.

This item is remarkable. It was costly, no doubt, which made me hesitant. I made sure to read through all the reviews. They were mostly sparkling except one or more said the battery didn't last, so I purchased an external battery, which was definitely NOT necessary. I charged the mask before halloweening & there was more than half battery life remaining when my son returned. This is a very nice item. The app is manageable & it was responsive to the voice. I would highly recommend. It is a quality item.

This LED mask is a fun item that will be, let's "face" it (couldn't resist the pun there), used for Halloween. The LED's on this mask are brighter than I was expecting, and with a 2000mah battery built in should last for many hours of use (I have not had to recharge it yet and have had this one for a total of 5-6 non-continuous hours). The voice commands do work well this and there are quite a few of them that it will respond to. While testing, we also found the touchless "swipe" of the hand in front of the sensor at the top works for scrolling through the various selections/faces. To get the most out of this, you do need the app or I found the mask to automatically scroll through the different faces at a set interval, almost like a demo mode. While there is a an app called Shining Mask app, I used the QR code in the manual and it puled the Shining Display app mentioned in the app. The app is just over 42MB and is very easy to use. Once connected to the mask you can load static images or animations from the cloud repository, or you can even design and upload your own designed image/animation/text to the mask - very cool!. The app can also be used to turn the mask off and on. This mask is not what I would call comfortable. Vision is a bit distorted through the eye holes but not too bad. The only part that keeps the mask off your face is the silicon around the eyes. As a result it can be pretty uncomfortable pressing against your nose. However, it would be easy to add a little bit of closed cell foam at the cheekbones, forehead and chin to help it stand off the nose a little more. This is not cheap, but add a cloak with a deep cowl and you have a pretty cool/unique Halloween costume that is easy to put together. The versatility this offers with the ability to build your own designs if you are the artistic type is an added bonus.

Not sure if the mask didn’t function properly because of user error or what the case was, but even with the mobile app, the mask wouldn’t connect and kept switching between several different screens. Really cool concept, just perhaps needs tweaked to actually get it to work properly. Mask itself was both heavy but also kinda cheap feeling—didn’t seem worth the money spent. The button on the top broke the night of Halloween which led my 8 year old to leave it in the vehicle and continue trick-or-treating without it. As far as visibility, he was able to see well with it on. There’s no way to adjust the strap to make it suitable for your own face; it was very uncomfortable when trying it on myself.
