RAD 700i Laser Radar Detector with Premium Detection, AutoLearn Intelligence, Advanced Filtering, Drive Smarter App, Laser Eye Front/Rear Detection - Black

This came via Amazon US to use in the UK. Very sturdy and professional looking device. The app is a bit hit and miss but that doesn't really matter. Plenty of adjustments. Minimum false alerts. Visibility is fine. I have mine set on yellow but it's nice to have different colours to choose from. Excellent sturdy mounting bracket and easy to detach.

Can't judge if it's effective and accurately detects fast cameras, often have fixed fast cameras it doesn't give a warning (maybe the camera isn't activated), but often doesn't issue a warning (maybe a camouflaged police car radar, but can't confirm it), so can't judge whether it works, trust 10% waze90%

At first it was going off too often but after a bit, (I had to actually read how to make it less jumpy) it worked well and lets me know way ahead of time if there’s something ahead. (Obviously I never drive over the posted speed limit, but it alerts me so that I can be prepared for the other drivers to make drastic maneuvers trying to avoid getting caught doing whatever they may or may not be doing)

I have owned many laser radar detectors. Over the last several years I have installed the premium K40 systems in my cars. Due to the fact that they are no longer in business, and my EVs (Teslas, MB EQS 580) are so complex that I could not use them any more, I switched to the RAD 700i. This system works like a charm. So far, after 6 weeks of use, no false alerts, early detection of radar (at least half a mile out, around curves), and overall ease of use. I use a magnetic mount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FB9J21MH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) on my dash board instead of the unsightly and highly visible provided windshield mount, and have had no issues. I pull into a public garage, or park on public street, simply pop it off the mount and take it with me. It is small, light and easy to move. Since my EV has no 12V accessible power supply, I use one of the USB ports in the car. I bought a long extension cable that boosts power to 12V (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSZL4VF9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) and it works perfectly. The cable easily tucks in behind the projected dash configuration and is virtually invisible. All-in-all, a perfect and simple installation. I highly recommend.

This radar detector works great. It has already saved me from a couple tickets. And it lets you know about red light cams, perfect!
