Drum set without the actual physical drums
My son loves this! He wanted to play the drums and this helped him practice. He plays drums now.

This is a great little drum set .......
This is a great little drum set, wish they made these when I was a kid. Excellent for orienting new-comers to drumming as to the physical positioning of a drum set. While keep parents sane, quite and comfortable. Sound comparison to real drums is about a 6 rating - which is not half-bad. My needs are strictly professional and had to resort to buying the Alesis Pro-Pad 8, but as far as Donner is concerned - I use the Donner $200 DDA-35 Drum Amp, so Donner is a real-player in the e-drum world. E-drums are the future so we all have to come to that realization. Absent the great apocalypses, we are never going back to wooden, animal skin drums.

Cheap, Good practice, and fun.
Perfect for practicing drumming without buying a $10,000 drum set. My husband to my 11 year old kid loved it!

Sound Quality
This wasn't so bad but the sound is not the greatest. I would return if my kid didn't loose the box. I could have got better quality for the money I spent.

Good value, some minor flaws
Overall it's an amazing thing for the price. Be aware that these are on/off switches, volume won't change depending on how you hit it.Something very good was that I could connect this to my ipad (adapter required) and use it in melodics for learning. It's not perfect, it will break if you try to map the instrument and switching to left-handed works badly and it's not usable. I'm not sure if this is a melodics or donner issue. In any case, plug it in, don't touch the mapping button, and if you're right handed you're good to go!Now why not 5 stars:- Volume control is not good. It's controlled with buttons, the minimum volume is too loud for my kid using headphones and the next step down is zero. This can be overcome using headphones with volume control or a volume control box. However, for the speakers there won't be such an option. It makes no sense to make this work in steps, it could perfectly be continuous.- Getting the advertised "Free lessons" was a pain involving contacting support. I can't understand why they are not making this easier. What they give you is some extra free melodics stuff via a code, melodics already comes with some free stuff you can get started with.eitu
