She wasn’t whiney or overly tough. She wasn’t the “I’m not like other girls” type. She was flawed in a way that made her relatable. She was kickass when she needed to be and wasn’t automatically a great warrior because the book needed her to be. She saved them all in a way that had me rooting for her. Kingfisher is our new shadow daddy. I loved everything about him. He was the perfect amount of a-hole and lovely. He was perfectly broken. I am a gigantic sucker for fated mates. Especially when one knows about it already. The side characters were wonderful and actually helped move the story forward and Carrion was hilarious. Wonderful comedic relief. I was glad to see him continue with the story. Loved him the moment he was introduced. I loved the twists. I loved that it was great world building without being overkill. The spice was soooo good. I’ve literally quoted that one quote about meeting the gods 😉 more times than I want to admit. Like literally everyone I’ve talked to the last few days, regardless if they read romantasy-they heard about that quote and this book. I read the last 100 pages so slow not wanting the story to end. It wrapped up perfectly leaving space for a second book. I am so excited for book 2. Side note-I listened to the audio book while I read the paperback and the audio was AMAZING. The voice of Kingfisher is the same VA that voiced our other book boyfriend Rhysand in the graphic audio of the ACOTAR series. Anthony Palmini was the perfect voice for Kingfisher and does no wrong imo. The voice of Saeris was done by Stella Bloom and she was great. Not too whiney or monotone. They were both able to disguise their voices enough for the other female and male characters that it felt like it was done with a full cast and minus the sound effects, similar to a graphic audio. Anyway-it exceeded the hype and I love it to the moon and back! Review: Good book. Just a nitpick though - I am only partway through after devouring ACOTAR and then TOG and this book was highly recommended. I like it. I do. The only thing that is beginning to bother me is the language. And I am no prude, but the use of the word "F" makes it feel trashy at times. And when they say "gonna" that just hurts my brain. I tried to rationalize that Saeris is poor, and had a rough start, but it reads wrong to me. SJM in my opinion is a beautiful writer and the romance building was lovely, AND it had spice. The build up felt, I don't know, romantic but not trashy. Fisher seems awful to her and I get that attraction is attraction. I am trying to like him and maybe I will get there. Her world building is incredible and the storyline has me, and I hope this language maybe gets better in Book 2, which I am planning to read.

Great book!
This book came in great condition. It was a fantastic read! I loved the relationship between the 2 main characters and the banter with all the characters in general. The plot was great and I can't wait to read the second book!

Absolute 5-star experience
Audiobook 5/5 ⭐️ Story 5/5 ⭐️ Quicksilver is an absolute 5-star fantasy that completely swept me away. The world-building is rich and immersive, pulling you into a captivating world filled with fae, vampires, and danger at every turn. Every detail feels intentional, making it easy to get lost in the story. Saeris is a sharp, stubborn, and witty protagonist who refuses to back down, and I loved every second of her journey. Kingfisher, the dark and broody fae warrior, is the perfect contrast, and watching their fated mates dynamic unfold is deliciously tension-filled. And then there’s Carrion, who completely steals scenes with his charm, humor, and flirtatious energy; I adored him. The banter is fun and quick, the found family elements hit all the right emotional notes, and the side characters add so much heart to the story. Everything builds so smoothly toward a cliffhanger ending that left me desperate for more. The duet narration by Stella Bloom and Anthony Palmini is top tier, elevating an already incredible story into something unforgettable. If you love fantasy with swoon-worthy romance, humor, and high stakes, this one is a must-read.

Good book great ending
4.5 stars. It took me the better part of half the book to finally get into it. Saeris, the heroine is a tough young woman who is very capable and a strong heroine. I just didn’t like how often she argued when she was stuck in with the Fae and how much of a hard time she gave the Kingfisher. I couldn’t really get into the book and was invested until around 55% when she was less argumentative. I say hang in there as the rest of the book is well worth it. Kingfisher is amazing! What an alpha hero who is so confident and skilled. He’s suffered a lot for the sake of his people. The plot picked up halfway through and snagged my attention until the end. So many cool scenes and interesting twists and reveals. I powered through it and couldn’t stop reading. The romance between them became sweet with several feels moments. He can be so thoughtful and genial with her. I recommend this book and plan to read book 2.

5+ STARS WOW! Quicksilver was absolutely everything! This story was so original and two MCs absolutely fascinating. The storyline got me hooked from the start. I loved that it mixed intrigue, action, mystery and the whole alchemy twist was refreshing to me. Saeris was another one of those incredibly strong-minded heroine full of fire. Her intense personality was the perfect match to our broody hero. Kingfisher was so complex and compelling. I just couldn't get enough of him. Their was such a mystery surounding this fae warrior and with each new revelations about him, I cherished him even more. His attachment for Saeris, despite his sometimes cruel actions was stunning. Their chemistry was just explosive and beautiful. I loved seeing their attraction unfold into a powerful romance that gave me chills. As much as I loved the main characters tremendously, the full cast of this book was great. Searis's little furry companion, Onyx, was just the sweetest touch, Carrion brought humor with his constant charm and jokes, Ren was the supportive friend to Kingfisher, Te Lena with her healing power and Lorreth with his devotion to their cause were only a few of all these beloved protagonists. I kept waiting to read this novel because I didn't want to have to wait over a year before getting the sequel, but all the hype about this story is highly deserved! I'm glad Brimestone releases in only a few weeks because I need more of Saeris and Kingfisher in my life! The action packed ending full of twists has me dying for what coming next in the Fae & Alchemy Series!
