comfortable headphones/sound seperation/clarity/deep bass/solid build quality/low clamping force
these headphones are so comfy, from the velvet earcups to the low but sturdy clamping force on my head. the lows/bass are punchy and deep but do not overpower vocals, mids or highs. everything from lows to mids to highs are crystal clear without drowning out each other and the seperation between them is solid. when it comes to music I compare these to some higher end cans i have but these are gaming headphones so I was surprised that right out of the box the mmx 330 pros sounded this great. purchased these specifically for fps games on ps5 and if the seperation of instruments and vocals are that good, then I hope these cans are just as good at hearing footsteps and subtle sounds in shooters like siege or cod with explosions and voice chat happening at the same time. the wire is a bit on the longer side but it does come coiled up with a velcro band that I do not plan on unraveling. the wire actually feels stronger than other headphone wires that im used to. apart from raising volume on your system, there is also a volume rocker on the wire as well. the only possible downside I can think of, and for me this is overlooked due to how comfy these headphones are, is that I do notice some heat buildup on my ears, but again, these headphones are so light and comfy and the earcups so soft that the heat is not that bad. I wear glasses and that did not effect the confort in any way at all which is is a first for me and headphones. i have a pair of akgs and a pair of sennheisers but they are both straight headphones for music not gaming so I cant really compare but i can say these are more comfortable than the sennheisers(massdrop HD 6xx) and lighter weight than the akgs(K701) and lastly I believe the build quality of the mmx 330 pros is superior to both of these. at the end of the day im happy with my purchase.Edit: I have played rainbow six siege and the sound isolation of footsteps is wonderful, almost perfect. everything else sounds enchanced too but not shrill.

HOW TO FIX MICROPHONE
Hey so the headset sounds amazing right? But the microphone didn't work how it should've, right?Well turns out the solution is to take the jack that connects to the headset and jam it in HARD. Just enough not to break it, don't overdo it. Also make sure the mic switch is on (not red). It's not very intuitive, I know, but somehow it works.Shoutout to the random guy on Reddit for this one.

Love Beyerdynamic, love my DT 990 Pros, but both MMX 330 Pro units I received have broken mics
As mentioned in the title, I have owned and loved my pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros for over 10 years now. I was so excited to see Beyerdynamic is now making an open back headset that is very similar with a high quality mic attached. The first set I ordered, I hooked up to my PC and no matter what I did, I couldn't get any audio input from the microphone. I tried it on my PC in the correct 3.5mm jack, tried changing all OS level settings, multiple applications, nothing worked. Just couldn't get the mic to work at all.I made sure the mic toggle button on the headset was active and still nothing. I could see that the OS would detect a "noise" when switching the mic to on and off, a very brief input spike demonstrating some electrical switch was toggled and it was sending signal, but I could never get it to detect any other sound. So I sent it back for a replacement. Same thing with my second unit. Just dead mic. No input.I've tried it connected to my phone via 3.5mm joining cable to 3.5mm to USB-C. Nothing.I've tried it connected to my MacBook Pro via 3.5mm joining cable to 3.5mm jack. Nothing.I've tried it connected to my MacBook Pro via 3.5mm joining cable to USB-C. Nothing.I took it into work and tried it on my coworker's PC and Linux machine, connected via 3.5mm joining cable to 3.5mm. Nothing.I really want to love this headset as it has everything I want. Except the mic hasn't worked on the two units I've received. Maybe it's the first generation of production on it, as Amazon indicates it went on sale for the first time on August 23, 2024 and here I am on September 24, 2024 (almost exactly a month later). But I'm terrified of getting a working unit only for it to fail later on due to poor manufacturing or QC. I have no idea what's going wrong or if I'm just the most unlucky consumer of this product, but so far I'm 0 for 2 in terms of units with working microphones.Hopefully others get a chance to enjoy this product and find it to their liking, but I can't roll the dice anymore on getting a working unit and having it fail later on for whatever reason is causing my current units to fail.

Pretty nice but too expensive
These are pretty nice. The mic sounds good and the clamp on the head isn't too high. The earpads are a little stiff and the earcups are a bit shallow so my ears slightly touch the drivers (I think my ears are probably average size and stick out an average amount). My main issue with these is the price and they do not come with the shorter cable that the MMX 300 comes with. They do not feel or sound twice as good as the Sennheiser PC360, Drop PC38X or EPOS H6 Pro (or other similar headsets from those companies), yet the price is basically double those headsets.Be sure to do your research on this product before you buy it. Most of the reviews for these are Vine reviews that got them for free. The reviews by people who actually paid for them are more critical.

Worth it
Fantastic sound quality - well worth the price point. I have a large head and still the headset is comfortable for long-term wear. If there's any downsides it's that the sound drivers don't perform so well when wired to my phone and the microphone is not detachable. Treat this set well and it should last for a long time.

The best
Not only the best headset I’ve ever owned but the only tolerable one. Audio quality is great, mic is great. Super comfortable. Can wear it all day without issue. Literally worth the price

Buzzing and No Mic
Mic worked for all of 1 minute and then no more. The set puts off a 'buzzing' noise when working. Seems decent quality, but apparently this set bypassed QA. If the mic worked and no buzzing may have been a 4 star.
