Does not stay on in High Power mode.
Works fine except in 15 watt (High Power) mode, after 3 minutes goes into a thermal shutdown even though the fan is running and the unit is cool to the touch. Works fine in the 3 watt mode.

Nice sound and full power output
I hooked this up to a dummy load and measured a full 15 watts of output power. The audio sounds great on it. However, I'm not sure of the true application for this as there doesn't appear to be a way to turn the power down and I'm pretty sure that's above limits for most applications.

I REALLY could have used this during the pandemic.
For years, my wife and I have shown movies in our backyard, but when the pandemic blew in and social distancing was the norm, we just couldn't pack friends and neighbors into our yard like we were used to.We live across the street from a church with a big parking lot, so we toyed with the idea of replicating a drive-in movie theater by having everyone stay safely in their cars, but still enjoy the movie we'd project on a big outdoor screen. But the challenge was, how to we get the movie sound into their car radios? We were sure such a device existed, but actually didn't find out until now...and this puppy does exactly what we needed. This device is easy to set up. All you need to do is pick an appropriate open FM frequency (and one not being used in your area) and feed an audio signal into the device--either via an auxiliary input or a microphone--and the resulting audio will be broadcast to FM radios within the 1000 foot range. If we had had this in 2020, movie goers could have gathered in our neighborhood, but stayed safely in their cars and enjoyed a fun movie--and"getting together"--in a socially distanced way.I haven't had a chance to use this device in an actual event yet (and no, I'm not wishing for another pandemic). But the idea of having a drive in movie theater for a night in our neighborhood for a night still sounds like a lot of fun. And what a way to outfox the many mosquitoes who feast on our flesh when we're watching movies outdoors! As advertised, it would also be great for churches or people creating a fireworks show to be programmed to music. It's your chance to be DJ for a day!

Compact, fun, and can help
I had a larger one, that some of my neighbors, and I only used (responsibility) after testing the range. This one, has a better range, and.. cool coincidence.. SOMEONE.. still a friend/DJ.. had no music in his speakers/sound.Fortunately, it was a small venue, and he listened to this/me/us:Plug this in. I have Amazon Music. Tell People to tune into xxx.9x.xx (I know the local stations that I would not step up on...That being said.. It really is good, for everything it says..Hope that others use it for "good".
