I bought these test strips to check the water hardness for my coffee machine, since I use a water filter and need to adjust the settings according to the hardness level. They were very easy to use and gave clear results quickly. A practical and useful product if you want to properly maintain your coffee machine and set up the filter correctly.

Very easy to use. Gives instant result. Although the bands of hardness are quite wide, so you won't be able to get a specific measurement (there are other kits available for this). The other thing to know is that Water Hardness seems to be measured in several different units. I used Copilot to convert the reading from this kit (ppm) to what my Bosch dishwasher wanted me to tell it.

Really good kit. The water in London is very hard, and I needed to test it to check if my filter was working. These strips are very useful, they’re easy to use .

Got the package super quick!Simple to read instructions on the outside with a key to followI knew the water was hard around the London area but wanted to check how much so got this kit as Mrs was saying she was reacting to the waterPut some water into a small glass/container don't put the stick under the running tap as it rubs the minerals off the stick too quickly!Dip the stick into the water for 3 seconds and hey presto it'll change colour which you can match up using the keyI'll looking to take it elsewhere where someone has a softener or the water is softer generally to see if it does read correctly!Watch the video for a quick demo!

As mentioned by someone else. the strips should not be placed under running water as the chemicals on the end of the stip that provide the reading can be washed off. Instead run the tap and fill a glass of water, then simply dip the end into the water; you will get an instant reading.Others have moaned about the colour chart and that it is difficult to discren some colour changes against the range printed. To be honest it is good enough for what you would use this for. If you are after a calibrated measurable device to measure water hardness then perhaps this is not for you.

The product details that this only tests for calcium level change when it is not the only chemical that will affect the water hardness.

Tested either side of a water softener the results were obvious and massively different (2-25) The tests are simple to use and easy to read. (Dip them in a clean container of water, or no more than dripping running water.) Excellent value.

Kit che funziona bene e i risultati sono validi. L'ho provato in due posti diversi con durezza notoriamente diversa ed il risultato del kit lo dimostra.Per quel che costa è utile per capire la situazione di durezza dell'acqua

Voor de koffiemachine wil ik de juiste instelling van de waterhardheid weten. Met deze strips kon ik in een paar tellen de hardheid bepalen voor de juiste instelling.Eenvoudig in het gebruik door simpelweg een kleur op de verpakking met de strip te vergelijken.
