This device is designed to reduce debris from entering the pump system, and it seems to work ok, though I have not inspected it since installed. It is well made. The parts fit together very snugly, and I needed to use a light mallet to assemble it, being careful that all parts were properly joined. I would recommend this filter device.

It works as intended but if anything gets stuck on the mesh it will slow the pump. So you still have to do upkeep and clean the pump on regular basis

I've been tired of my pond pumps getting plugged with debris from trees, pollen, etc.. Never knew these. existed. Got it today, took about ten minutes for easy assembly. TIP: As the instructions say, you'll need to push firmly to get the little "pipes" assembled but not hard to do. The nylon mesh then stretches over the assembled frame, put it in the water, put the pump in, tighten the mesh around the pump hose and no more clogged pump! You'll want to take the assembly out once in a while to hose it out from the inside and you're ready to go again. A lot easier than having to take the pump apart every week and take it apart to clean it out. A really good purchase.

This was the perfect filter for my needs. comes with a small PVC frame you put together. I didn't use it, the water well in my fountain is to small, but the bag works very well alone. Very n easy to clean, Washes out with the hose. Tie it around the filter power cord, easy, and fluff it out in the water. The filter bag has enough body to stay pulled out. Great Value.

While this did work on my small pond filter, I'm not sure it was needed. I was hoping this would lessen the frequency of having to maintain my pond pump, but it did not. I still noticed my pump slowing down near the same time it normally would. Instead of the pump being covered in slugde, the outer bag was covered in sludge, which still caused the pump to slow down. My pump still had a lot of muck on it as well, resulting in having to clean not only the pump, but also the bag. Not sure it made enough difference to be worth it for me. I do have ducks which are quite messy, but I know how often I need to clean my pump and this didn't lessen that time for me.

Nice pond set up. It was easy to use and priced very well. It is a time saver because it prevents my pump from clogging up. It fits a nice size pump. The container and bag also prevent smaller fish from getting stuck to the pump.

Easy to assemble and install. No more filter blockages and I haven’t touched it since I installed it 2 months ago. For reference, I was cleaning the filter almost daily before I tried this cage.
