Great Traction Using These
I've only had the chance to use these a couple of times recently following a short spell of frost and ice. I wasn't sure if they would be suitable for use on pavements with just a thin covering of frost and ice instead of proper snow, but I found them to be great. I suffered a bad fall a few years ago due to black ice on the pavement so I have a real fear of slipping and falling again. I felt much more confident when walking with these on my boots as I could really feel the difference, as they definitely give you better grip and traction when walking in frosty, icy or snowy conditions. It was a work colleague that recommended them to me and I would most definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for something to use in wintry conditions,

Brilliant and easy to fit
I bought these when it was snowing as I had fallen over twice in one day, and couldn't just stay in the house, as I have dogs to walk. I didn't find them difficult to fit, but they fit nice and securely and feel good on the snow/ice. I've not walked about indoors with them on, as I have wooden floors in my house, and don't go inside anywhere when I'm walking with my dogs, so can't comment on how dangerous they are to walk indoors with on, but there are various warnings about doing that on the box. I would recommend them as a great way to stay upright in the snow/ice - I just want there to be some more now, so I can wear them again!

Very good but can slip off
These tracks are the ones where you choose a size rather than the universal size ones. I have now had both and the universal ones are to tight to fit larger size shoes meaning thay are difficult to get on. These are easier to fit however they do not come with a valcro overshoe strap (like the universal ones) and can easily slip of as they did onmy first use. In fact I had to backtrack a mile to try and find it. Fortunately I have some straps from some old broken universal traxs which I have been able to use. They should come with this strap as standard.

Put on carefully - excellent, they really work!
In the current snowy spell, my wife was struggling to keep her footing around our village. As we are both in our early 60s, we realise that slipping and breaking something is actually quite serious. So I looked at some reviews here, and decided on these. My wife's shoe size is 4, and we went for the small size. Ordered early Thursday afternoon, paid extra for express delivery, and they arrived morning post Friday! My wife tried them out straight away. They fit on easily. However it is easy to get a bit sloppy here, you do need to ensure that they are on properly, the plastic bits fully up the sides on both sides. If not, they can slip off. Now she knows this, no problem. An amusing episode was when she and our 27 year old daughter were out together. My daughter was clutching onto to her Yaktrax shod mother as that was the only way she could make progress! I shall be buying a pair for myself.

Makes it so much easier when it snows.
I bought these in 2012 and it snowed quite soon after. They were such a pleasure to use. Everyone got a set and we used them to trudge into town for our shopping . It felt like walking on dry ground. You really need to take them off in shops as they have metal springs under them and might damage the floor . They were easy to get on and off and fold up to go in a pocket(take a plastic bag so you don't get a soggy pocket). Mine were worn over trainers and the boys wore theirs over walking boots. These aren't going to come off as you walk along but I wouldn't try running in them . I think you would need their more robust version for that with the extra strapping over the foot.

Have ordered another pair for my son who also does a paper round and plan to recommend them to members of my Fall Prevention Cla
I am over 65 and prone to fall, and this time of year am terrified of slipping. Do a daily paper round and needed something to keep me standing up. Only ordered these a few days ago but have used them for the last 2 mornings and found that they have boosted my confidence no end in the horrendous weather conditions we've had. Have ordered another pair for my son who also does a paper round and plan to recommend them to members of my Fall Prevention Class. At this price, even if they turn out to be relatively short-lived, they are worth every penny (after all, normally we only have a week or two of snow and black ice and they should last for this winter at least, maybe next year as well!) - absolutely perfect for my requirements!

Good grip but possible design fault
These definitely work well. Here's the problem: I put boot heel into the device then stretch the device to my boot toe. All is well for ten minutes or so but then the front rides up over onto the top of my boot. These are large size on a size 10 boot. I'm not sure that a smaller size is the answer as then it would be difficult to stretch them to get them on. I'm not the only reviewer who's noticed this problem.
