I'd had a USB mic that this replaced; the old one worked fine but had a USB-B socket on it and the slightest bump might disconnect the USB and cause problems with the app I was using. I got this one just to get USB-C, and it's working great! It doesn't have any extra bells or whistles - no gain control, no noise reduction, etc - just a single pushbutton for mute. But that's all I need. Threaded onto my existing boom and replaced the USB-B cord with a USB-C cord, and I'm back in business.It comes with a weighted base and a USB cord, both of which are now cluttering my junk drawer. Personally I'd prefer to buy a mic as a "Component" and not as a system, but I understand not everyone would want that. Nothing deducted from the score on that count, but it WOULD be less wasteful.

Not the best mike but you can't beat the price. Great starter mic until you figure out what you might really need.I used it successfully with Zoom. I tried it for voice calls, Google voice and Samsung phone link, on second try it worked fine. It seems to need to adjust itself to the distance between the mic and my mouth. Initially, I was getting complaints about an echo but now my clients tell me they can hear me fine. More testing is required.

I bought this to record songs on my computer, just vocals no instruments. It works well, although I cannot sing into it straight on, it sounds tinny. If I set it off to the side, the right or the left, about a foot away, that seems to be the optimum spot. So you just need to play with it to get it in the right spot for what you're using it for.

I purchased this mic to do video recordings / voice-overs and unfortunately the sound quality was very lacking for that kind of work. It would be good for online meetings and such, where sound quality isn't very important, but for the price much better microphones are available. I ended up getting a fifine A6T for a few dollars more, and the difference in sound quality is astonishing. I usually love amazonbasics products, but this mic could really use some refinement.

The cardioid pickup pattern isolates my voice perfectly,cutting out background noise.The connection is also impressively stable,with no dropouts or interference.I love the compact,sleek design of this mic. It has a small footprint on my desk and the all-black metal body looks really sharp.The adjustable desk stand is solid,and the cable provides great flexibility.Compared to premium mics costing much higher this mic delivers the samelevel of audio quality and functionality value that I will be recommending to all my streamer friends.We can finally enjoy crystal clear voice quality during our gaming sessions!
