Does the job, replaced light that was making a humming sound, these are perfect and don't make a sound!

These are reasonable spot lights, and good value for money. They use a replaceable GU10 bulb, which runs at 240V, so there's no need for a transformer in the ceiling, and the electronics are all in the bulb. The lamp housing is adjustable, and can be rotated and the angle changed. Bulbs are widely available and can be purchased in various colour temperatures and with different beam angles, to suit your needs. I prefer the warm white ones with a lens, and they most accurately imitate the pleasing effect of the halogen lamps that came before LED. For longevity I recommend buying decent ones from a known brand. Bulbs are not included with your purchase, and need to be ordered separately. The reason I'm awarding four instead of five stars are a couple of things I'm not one hundred percent onboard with, both of them visual. The first is the two exposed protruding screws on the base, and it would have looked neater with a hidden fixing. The second is the proportion of the base in relation to the lamp housing, which to my eye is a bit small in comparison.

But as they are wired into the mains, by law, an electrician is required to install them, which increases the cost significantly. They will look very smart and are well made, with a good finish. They are freely adjustable from straight to just below 90 degrees, and horizontally. The joints have the right amount of resistance, they move smoothly, but won't “droop”. All required safety certifications are displayed. They can go on the ceiling or a wall, and are ideal for a hallway, walk in closet or as accent lighting. But not sure I'd use them in a bathroom, as it does not say they're designed for wet areas. I did not realise when taking the photos that you can unscrew the shade to put the bulbs in. This is a Vine Voice review, but that has not changed my opinion and I only review items I would buy.

I ordered these for use in my washing cupboard which is under the stairs. I like the short design of the lamp as the cupbioard is quite small and the smaller lights are more suitable.for my purposes. The lights are well built and were comparatively easy to install although getting the chocolate block reconnected to the lamp body after install the wiring was a little fiddly, I had removed the chocolate block to make the wiring connection easier. The light units are well finished with a matte black powder coat however because of how the light connects to the mounting bracket it leaves a snall amount ogf the silver mounting bracket showing - for me it would have made more sense to have just had two holes for the connecting screws to go through instead of the cut out. The light head is fully adjustable in both the vertical and horizontal planes and I have used Smart GU10 bulbs to add to the flexibility. I do think they are good value and other than the cutouts I have no other criticisms.
