Good performer if a little expensive
I have now run the unit for 6 months and wanted to do so to offer a fair opinion on performance. I admit I was a little indecisive on the value for money vs convenience but finally took the plunge. I did the install myself and found it straightforward and well covered by the enclosed information Thereafter, the router has proved excellent in getting signal and maintaining its connection given its use has been entirely around the Scottish Highlands where signal can always be variable. None the less the strength of signal has always been good to excellent even with up to six connections including streaming TV services and in the odd occasion of heavy weather, a simple restart restored service promptly. Connection of devices was initially simple and all units subsequently auto joined seamlessly. In my view, this is an excellent unit which I would happily recommend

So far so good
So far so good. Bought as been to a few campsites recently (north nolfolk area) and struggled with phone signal and Internet inside & outside the caravan even on EE. Tested then Fitted the system in under an hour just need to properly test it now when next away, hopefully it will be an improvement with the aerials now being high up on the roof.

Would recommend
Works really well in the UK. It’s good that it has 2 SIM slots in case one has a bad signal. Easy to install and use.

Works perfect
Works great and really easily installed. Kept the kids entertained during poor weather in the caravan and didn’t miss a beat. Highly recommend. Good connectivity too.

Brilliant addition to the caravan
We bought this as we upgraded to a smart tv for the caravan. We had it fitted professionally & it's a great addition to the van. The dual sim increases the chance of a good signal for streaming. The wifi works well for our phones & general Internet use but we invested in an ethernet cable for streaming to improve quality. We feel it was worth the money

Not worth the money.
Works well in UK at sharing signal actual speed is no faster than the phone. Struggles in Europe as will not support many providers sims with out changing settings. A £60 Huawei mifi does the job more reliably.

Poor Performance
If you already tether to your iPhone for your WiFi connection in your motorhome or caravan don’t bother with this unit. I tried this for a couple of months and only ever obtained half the speed compared to connecting to my iPhone 13. I sent the unit to Avtex to be checked and after testing they returned it saying it was not faulty. I was so disappointed I bought another brand (slightly more expensive) and connected it to the Avtex antenna now fixed to my motorhome roof and was blown away with the improved performance so it’s obvious the AMR104X does not do ‘what it says on the tin’. This proved to be an expensive antenna for me!
