I purchased to repair an old ds lite. It works well but my ds had damaged potentiometer so it still fades. Not the screens fault bad motherboard from GameStop.

I watched some videos about these after I purchased.I also read some comments about using some kind of insulator between the back of the screen and the PCB. This was solid advice.I placed 2 strips of electrical tape on the back of this screen and after reassembly, she works great.I'm thankful that these little screen replacements exist.

Unlike other screen replacements, this one does not have any insulation in the back and when in contact with the board, it will fry your fuses. If you buy it, make sure you insulate it in the back

I bought 2 other screens before this one and they both came with dead pixels. This one did not. Just be sure to put some sort of non-conductive insolation on the back of this screen like kapton tape or rubber. It should really have a warning about that but I'm too pleased with the screen to dock a star for that. The screen also seems to have a better viewing angle than the original. Also to note, this doesn't come with the digitizer attached that is needed for touch screen control. Great screen for a macro mod but can also be used as a DS replacement screen, you just need to reapply the digitizer.

The lighting was slightly uneven and unfortunately, it did not include the necessary screwdriver. As many of the other reviews mention, add tape to the back so you don't destroy your MB

I ordered one of these to put into a Gameboy Macro mod that I made with a spare DS Lite motherboard. The screen arrived and was packaged well, it was easy to install as any other DS Lite bottom screen. The screen worked overall, however the first one I received had a dead pixel and also had some pretty severe ghosting in a few games. If the dead pixel wasn't in the middle of the screen, I may have been okay with it, but it was right smack dab in the middle, so for that reason and the ghosting, I initiated an exchange to get another screen. I received the second screen and luckily this second one did not have any dead pixels or ghosting issues that I can see.Because the first one came with a dead pixel and ghosting issues and the second one was fine and was exchanged without issue, I am going to give this screen 4/5 stars.

The screen is just fine. However it does not come with the rubber protector on the back of the screen. This resulted in a blown fuse. Now I have to order more and fix an issue that should never have happened if they provided all parts.

Whoever designed and manufactured this specific LCD panel didn't put any insulation on the back side. When you install this screen ensure you put a layer of electrical tape, or some other insulator on the back of the screen or else you will have the metal on the screen touching metal on the circuit board causing it to short and shut off or damage the board. Whoever made this panel should have added this like the factory screen has but they didn't, hence the 3 star review. Would have been 5 otherwise as the panel does look very good.

Llego de una sola pieza, la pantalla viene protegida con la bolsita de burbujas y un carton dentro de la caja, cosas que deben tener en cuenta no viene con la cinta negra que tiene pegada la pantalla original, tendran que reciclar la original, comprarla o improvisar con cinta de aislar, el panel touch no biene incluido tendras que recilar el original o si se te daño comprarlo aparte, por ahora solo queda testear

Mine arrived with a dead pixel and a very yellow tinge compared to the top screen.
