Essential Upgrade for Your 70mai Dash Cam! Works with Multiple Carriers!
Finally, a hardwire kit that delivers on its promises! I installed this for my 70mai A810 dash cam, and it's been a game-changer. What You'll Love: Remote monitoring through 4G works smoothly - I can check on my car anytime from my phone Great carrier flexibility - works with both AT&T and Boost Mobile (likely others too!) Rock-solid parking mode surveillance (24/7 coverage) Battery protection works perfectly - no dead battery worries. Compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicles Type-C connection feels sturdy and reliable Power delivery is stable at 5V/2.4A Installation Tips: Get it professionally installed unless you're really confident with car electronics. The peace of mind is worth it, and they'll set up the voltage cutoff correctly for your vehicle. Perfect For: Anyone with a compatible 70mai dash cam (A510, X200, A810). People who want to monitor their car remotely. Those needing reliable 24/7 parking surveillance. Drivers worried about battery drain from hardwired devices Users looking for carrier flexibility (confirmed working with AT&T and Boost Mobile) Quick Heads Up: Only works with specific 70mai models (check compatibility!) Professional installation recommended Initial setup of 4G monitoring takes a few minutes, but instructions are clear Carrier choice is flexible - not locked to any specific provider Bottom Line: If you own a compatible 70mai dash cam, this hardwire kit is absolutely worth the investment. The combination of reliable power, battery protection, and remote monitoring capabilities makes it a solid upgrade. The flexibility to choose between carriers like AT&T and Boost Mobile is a huge plus. Haven't had a single issue since installation two months ago. The peace of mind from being able to check on your car remotely is worth every penny.

If it had quicker notifications, and more options, it'd be pretty great.
I have a Tello.com SIM in this and it works pretty decent. I wish there were smarter options to turn off the parking monitor though besides unplugging the camera. If I'm at home working around the car or washing the car it'll upload several gigs worth of videos using up all the data for the month. Which points out another issue, it takes at least 20-30 minutes for it to notify you that there's a person near your car or that there was a collision, so it's pointless as a security system, and it'll use up all your data by the time you know it was triggered. Oh, also, it only sends recordings of the front camera anyway so when a "suspicious person" is standing around the rear of the car it's not in the uploaded video. It's always updating the software and an earlier version would show front and back camera views when triggered, I guess they removed that feature or broke it somehow. The 70mai camera itself is ok but it runs the battery down in my car fast. I went ahead and added the 70mai backup battery and even that only lasts about 8 hours before I get the notification that parking monitor has stopped due to low battery. I reached out to 70mai on all of these issues and they wanted videos of each thing happening, then pictures, then they started over wanting some videos and logs, then the logs were wrong... total run around, I gave up and accepted that I have an almost-ok product. I see it's all a bit cheaper now that when I bought it so it's probably a better value now, but it's a frustrating experience if you're trying to use all the features they tout. Edit: After writing this review 70mai support reached out and made it right, even though it's been a year since purchase. Pretty good customer service in the end! So I added a couple more stars to my review.

Works well, easy to install
The kit is as described. It is easy to install (either as a hard wire to the car battery or to a dedicated dash cam battery). The 4G device requires an AT&T SIM card and a data plan if you want to unlock all of the features of parking surveillance. That has proven to be cumbersome and expensive — not sure if I will pay the $30+/month that will cost. In the meantime, this hardwire kit allows the camera to record events when the car is turned off, but it will not send notifications in the moment. I am currently using a prepaid plan from AT&T that provides plenty of data. I’m giving it a month on prepaid to determine what level of ongoing service to commit to.

Make sure you use the included type C cable
I had this installed by someone with the 70MAI powerbank(from their site). The installer installed it slightly wrong and I had to troubleshoot it myself. I tried 3 SIM cards from USMobile / Tello / Boost and I saw it didn't connect. USMobile was never detected in the 4g kit. But Boost and Tello(Tmobile) were blinking green instead of red like the USM sim but it never connects. I found out later on the installer never installed the type C cable to the my A810. So the issue was the installer hardwired my powerbank. Hardwired my 4g kit straight to the car. But connected my A810 to my powerbank. The way it should be is. Hardwire the powerbank to DC. Then connect the 12V output cable with the 4G hardwire kit, then attach the 4g Kit and A810 with the included type C cable to make it work. I use a Tello Sim card with 5gb data only for $10 a month and it is working great.

Do not waste money on this device it is useless with out simcard .
They say ONLY AT&T sim card can be used ! and AT&T will NOT sell you one because they do not support this device.

Easy Setup – Works with T-Mobile SIM Too!
Installed this with my 70mai X800 dash cam and it's been running smoothly. The 4G connection is stable and gives me access to remote live view and alerts, which adds a lot of peace of mind when I’m parked. Despite what the listing says, it also works with a T-Mobile SIM card—I popped one in, and it connected without any issues. The parking mode works great, and the low voltage protection seems to be doing its job—no battery drain so far. Setup was simple, just make sure to tuck the wiring properly. If you're using a compatible dash cam, this kit really brings out all the features. Definitely worth it.
