Excellent.
Works as it should. Used my own tools to open it since, as you guessed, it’s pretty hard to open. People leaving bad reviews because of the tools have no sense, the battery works perfectly and fits in my 6th gen nicely. The cost is pretty cheap and perfect. 5 stars!

Good battery, get an Ifixit if you want to open the iPod, do not use the plastic tools
Its a great replacement for the battery, It came with around 75% of the battery I just had to charge it, I still have to keep testing it. For the people who says that is a bad battery is because they used the plastic tools which do not work correctly in order to open the ipod, you should buy a different tool like the Ifixit and watch some youtube videos, easy installation and good battery hours. Great quality

Fits into iPod 5.5 gen 30 gb model
I purchased this to replace the battery for my wife's iPod classic 5.5 gen, 30 gb model. She hadn't used it in years and when we tried charging/booting it up, it would work but the battery would drain so fast.After watching some youtube videos, I was confident that we could replace it. The included tools were helpful. I actually bought a faceplate replacement from another place that came with a long, flat, and thin metal pry tool which was much more useful than the guitar pick tools that came with this battery. The battery was able to fit even though it is 750 mah. I just had to squeeze the case back on a little but it was able to snap into place without issue. Good product and would buy again in future if I decide to get an iPod for myself.

Works, but good luck finding instructions.
Worked well. But trying to find instructions was very difficult. Every battery I’ve purchased for Apple products came with instructions. This doesn’t.

My Classic iPod has been resurrected!
I am so happy to be able to use my Classic iPod again. It wouldn't keep a charge and initially I was looking to purchase a mp3 player. I couldn't find anything I liked and finally realized I should just try to replace the battery. The kit is great, I changed out the battery that was already almost 100% charged, and have been listening to my music non-stop since.

The battery works great, the tools not so much
The tools broke immediately. I had to order a different better set of tools to actually replace the battery. The battery works great, you do have to discharge and recharge it a couple times to get it to work correctly.
