A very accurate navigational tool and very handy for those not too quick at counting on your fingers! ;-) Slightly over sized for the application that I need, however don't let that put you off purchasing. Nice an robust.

This is well made, yes plastic but sturdy and nicely done. Works great for voyage planning and just overall understanding of charting if you are doing blue water or coastal trips. Only downside is the numbers are small but I can read them fine with glasses, some people might not. Buy it once have it forever, nice addition to nav station.

This really makes your pre-trip navigation work a lot easier. Highly recommend one at home and one on the boat. Found it easy to use and easy to read. Great product, seller was quick to respond and fast shipping. 5 stars.

Old school, Quick & Easy to read, 1 hand operation, non battery operated piece of kit good for backup or situations where you can't use a calculator. measures over 7 inches and thin enough to fit in anywhere. Material is not flimsy. In all fairness, I wouldn't use it to steer a submarine but come on really. How many people do you know that would use this for that purpose?

This is the mariner's version of an E6B "whiz wheel". Quicker than a hand-held calculator for time-speed-distance problems and an excellent addition to a recreational boater's nav tools. 100% waterproof and no batteries! Product is inexpensive and the Vendor shipped it quickly and securely.

I very much like this calculator. I intend to keep it handy on my Motor Yacht. The question of accuracy is problematic as the cruising speed upon which you intend to reference the Calculator is at best an educated guess. Boats, lacking speedometers, cruising speed is a calculated estimate based on a number of variables - so - using the Calculator to determine a "time to destination" becomes at best and educated guess or at worse a wild ass guess. Still, I like having the Calculator handy.

Don't do the math, just get this "slide rule" and you're in business ! Took a navigation class with the CG-Aux. and this thing was invaluable. If you know 2 out of the 3 (time, speed, or distance) this will tell you the 3rd in just seconds. Takes about 2 minutes (or less) to learn how to use it, after that you can run the numbers in a few seconds.

I've used these for years so knew what to expect. Same great quality as always. Surprised me that this one came with the center wheel (speed/time disk) colored green. Not what was shown in the pic, nor have I seen it that way before, but doesn't affect anything and looks ok.

Die Rechenscheibe erfüllt ihren Zweck ohne Probleme. Ob ich sie wirklich brauche? So schwer ist der Dreisatz ja eigentlich nicht. Wer aber nicht gerne rechnet, kann dies mit der Scheibe einfacher erledigen.

Calculs rapidement fait sans être dépendant d'une pile ou batterie.

Does what it says in the blurb .. I bought a "straight" one too .. prefer this.
