A must see for any SF fan or video game fan
I stumbled across this one weeknight with a 6.20am alarm ready to wake me in the morning. I saw it was over two and a half hours long and thought I would drift off to it, yet I was instantly impressed with the characters, settings and the storline. This film had me up way to late and the moment we got to a particular fight scene I knew I was going to be tired the next day as it brought me back to childhood and the anime movie of the early 90's.The choreography was spot on in terms of impact and combos and it really played in to the characters true story line in a deep and meaningful way. This was made by true fans and it shows.I had to tell all of the guys I knew would like this film the next day to watch it, no matter what they had on for the week as it was that impressive.Granted video game adaptions are usually pretty poor/trash, and that could warp my perspective to a degree. However I feel that as a movie, and standing against all movies I access on Amazon Prime that this is a genuine quality title and one that needs to be viewed as a solid British made film in the broader sense.Well done to the guys for putting togetehre a true gem and take your time to produce another and make it as impactful and true to the story it is derived from as possible.

One of the best Street Fighter movies out there
As an avid Street Fighter fan, this is awesome. It is the origin story of Rui and Ken and how they are training by Gouken in the art of Ansatsken (Assassins Fist). You see all of your favourite super moves like the hadouken, shoryuken and hurricane kick and how the pair learn these abilities. The story develops Akuma and his origin.Highly recommended, very well made.

Tremendous martial arts adaptation of a much loved fighting series.
There's video game adaptations then there's Streetfighter: Assassins Fist. This is how to translate a video game to a movie; this is how its done; this is the benchmark for all to follow.Admittedly, I stumbled across this on prime with 0 expectations. And yet after a mamouth 2 plus hours running time it lingered long in the memory. Not just a remarkable adaptation of the beloved fighting series but the film is a solid, thought provoking martial arts film in its own right. As the film picks up pace you can't but help care about the characters...but when the film's star attraction is in fact the 'enemy' Akuma (and his backstory is told beautifully) - you know the director is onto a winner. Interestingly the fella that plays Akuma is the also the films Director. He also starred in The Bourne Ultimatum, so you could tell he gave quite a bit of thought into how the fight scenes should play out. It's eautifully shot, a tremendous effort and in a nutshell worth a watch.Sad that nothing has come of a sequel that was to be in the World Warrior. That would be a perfect title for a follow up. A shame.

Birth of legends and demons
Yes I am a totally obsessed Street Fighter fan, I used to spend £s at a time just to see how many times I could complete in an hour. This film is truly made with fans like me in mind. This is one of those films where everything just seemed to be done right. The characters interaction was spot on. I think it helped that the actors seem to get along as well as the characters that they played. It once again proves you do not need a huge budget, but a good story and a talented cast. This film centres around Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Goken, fans of the others characters be warned they are not in thus movie. They are however mentions of other characters possible for later. I really liked the way the movie covered all the aspects of martial arts from the physical, the mental, the spiritual and even the mystical.Ryu and Ken are training under Goken the last practitioner/master of Ansatsuken the assassin's fist. Despite there physical advancements through martial arts he is reluctant to teach them the more advanced practices of the style the power of the Houdo the build up of key energy and use if it in their strikes or as fireballs. This is because of the murderous intent that goes along with it. Remembering what happened during the previous generation can he break the cycle and protect his students from the monster unleashed. This is a great movie I cannot wait for the next one. Even the bonus material was great.

A great adaptation of the SF universe
The best live action adaptation of a videogame, faithful to the characters and storylines of the entire SF world (including games, manga, anime etc). Good acting, music, cinematography and special effects, it doesn't look like a low budget film at all. Too bad they didn't make the sequels with the further adventures of Ryu and Ken! Very recommended.

A strong addition to the online web-series. Assassin's Fist is worth your time (and money).
Package was in good condition upon prompt arrival. If you've watched the web-series on Machinima in its entirety, it's safe to presume that you enjoyed the series enough to consider reading reviews for its Blu-Ray. Assassin's Fist for BD is, indeed, worth the purchase. With an additional 12 minute epilogue to the series that adds additional questions as much as answers, Assassin's Fist feels less like a theatrical movie and more akin to the Battlestar Galactica miniseries that led to the actual show: it is, essentially, a proof of concept film, one that Joey Ansah and his team are eager to prove to the world that, yes, a live action Street Fighter is not only possible, but thoroughly entertaining. While you may debate that a 12 minute scene cannot possibly do this much to alter the state of the film, it certainly adds itself to the already lengthy run time of the film. This is a long viewing, but definitely worth it on BD.As for the special features, there are enough here to whet your appetite for more behind the scenes beyond what the Street Fighter: Legacy team have released on their YouTube page. A video diary by 'Ken' showcases some lighter moments between the film's characters, a series of production clips goes into the cast and crew's thoughts and efforts in crafting the film, and a blooper reel will simply make you chuckle at some of the goofs that happen on set. Alas, there is no official announcement video by Ansah, Quella, or Howard on the green-lighting of Street Fighter: World Warrior, which would have made newcomers to the film even more hyped for what is hopefully a successful sequel to the film.Technical-wise, I'm not skilled or knowledgeable enough to advise on how well the film transfers to BD: I felt the video and audio were crisp, and I'm fond of using subtitles even when I can clearly hear the dialogue, so I greatly appreciate the option between English Subs for either the whole film or just the Japanese dialogue. If you're contemplating buying this product for the holidays, then I highly recommend it. The final product is a strong compendium of the film's production and the film itself, and it's a worthy addition to a classic series.

Great Story telling with action and heart!
Do you like a great story and action that has you wanting more? You have found it! Street Fighter Assassins Fist (SFAF) is an extremely faithful adapted film based on the massively popular Street Fighter video game. Now lets be very clear that this is unlike any real life adaption of Street Fighter that has come and gone before. This is what so many fans world wide have been waiting for many years to see. In brief, SFAF follows Ken (Christian Howard) & Ryu (Mike Moh) who are closest of friends as they begin to unlock the secret power of the Hado and learn about its very powerful and sometimes dark history of what this ability can cause. Incredibly you will also get a parallel story telling of their teacher Gouken (Akira koieyama) and his brother Gouki/Akuma (Joey Ansah/Gaku Space) who train under the legendary Master Goutetsu (Togo Igawa) who is the last in a long line of powerful warriors before him. The sound in this film will literally knock you out of your seat, set the sub woofers high if you can and feel every punch and kick while being immersed in the amazing orchestral sound which blends the story that Joey Ansah and Christian Howard have scripted with years of hard work and planning to deliver you fans and anyone who wants to be entertained to the highest level possible "a great film". The Martial art choreography you will get to see is almost entirely the actors packing the hard hitting punches and kicks and hits well above many martial arts films being produced today. It is very important to note that many of the moves you see in SFAF very carefully imitate those used in the actual video game and this is not easy to acomplish in live action game adaptions. The aerial ability of Ken, Ryu and Akuma is mind blowing and leaves you thinking did i just see that for real? SFAF is full of rich natural scenery and authentic built Japanese style sets and costumes. English and Japanese were used equally to keep the themes and origins of all the characters with emotion that has you gripping your seat to the very end. Make no mistake that this film deserves a place on any respectable collectors shelf. If you buy the DVD/BluRay you will be treated to a bonus exclusive 15 minute epilogue episode not seen on the original Machinima channel release along with many behind the scene extras to tie you over until Season 2 (Street Fighter World Warrior) that launches late 2015/Early 2016. SFAF is produced by Jaqueline Quella and Co produced by Mark Wooding. Happy Street Fighting and happy are those who will own this film.

Excellent
