A real sleeper!
Weeks later, I'm still amazed at the volume this little guitar puts out. It calls my name from afar (the next room) to stop & spend a little time with it, as it definitely speaks to me. And what a bargain! I couldn't hope to get this fine instrument under any other name for twice the price.

Stellar sounding acoustic guitar!
I was initially looking at several acoustic-electric steel string guitars from various brands, but settled on the this Yamaha transacoustic based upon multiple positive online reviews (mostly on YT).Love the sound of this guitar even without the TA effects. The non-TA/non-electric version of this guitar is the FS800, which is available for just over 1/2 the price of this guitar if you just want a plain old good sounding acoustic steel string guitar. The TA models are a bit spendy in comparison, but the chorus & reverb effects are really nice and they work equally well whether the guitar is plugged in or not. It's a Yamaha, so I expect it will last me a lifetime. This partly based on having owned a cheap Yamaha Eterna branded EF-21 steel-string since it was new in the 80s. That all laminate guitar has held up remarkably well given the lack of particular care I've given it over the years as it's been moved around and stored in various garages, basements, and storage spaces. And this is also one reason why I didn't go with the all solid woods LS-TA - my instruments all live in a humidity controlled environment now, but I didn't want a guitar that was so precious that I wouldn't want to take it outdoors, take traveling, or transport in a move/relocation.

Superior craftsmanship
The nicest, and best sounding guitar I’ve ever owned. You want tone? You want sexiness? You want this guitar. Yamaha is really knocking it out of the park and, to me, is burying the competition with not just superior craftsmanship and quality, but at unbelievably reasonable prices. This guitar is absolutely a steal.

Beautiful and addictive.
I'm literally shocked how fast the guitar arrived, ordered the 25th arrived the 26th. Great job seller.Oh.... And the guitar is pretty amazing too. Took me awhile to finally buy it after wondering in guitar center once a month for a year just to play it. This guitar is in a class of it's own and Yamaha continues to produce incredible sounding acoustic guitars at a decent price.-b

It sounds so sweet!
I can’t stop playing this guitar. I’m a small stature woman and this guitar fits great. The action and playability out of the box is great. I haven’t had any feedback issues. Th guitar sounds really good ithout the effects on. Win win. If your on the fence about this guitar don’t be. You I’ll not regret it.

Love this guitar but I wouldn't advise purchasing it from Amazon
Product was not packaged correctly. Was physically damaged and effects did not work correctly. Returned it and got the same guitar from sweetwater.com and I love it.

Breakthrough technology from Yamaha equals fun
I love this guitar. I have the vintage tint version. It's pretty amazing that you can dial in a chorus or reverb effect and not even have to plug into an amplifier (but you could if you wanted). And it sounds great! The quality and workmanship is exactly what I would expect from Yamaha, and I am a long-time Yamaha owner. My only complaint - and the only reason it didn't get 5 stars - is that I had to exchange mine due to a flaw in the battery pack design. There was a vibration from some metal part in the battery pack housing area that was creating a buzz whenever I played a D note. And it didn't have anything to do with the effects. I tried to dampen the buzzing with electrical tape and I even consulted Yamaha. I did not feel like driving 50 miles to take it to one of their authorized service centers. So, my new one should be arriving soon from GC. Try playing "Dust In The Wind" with the chorus effect on. Look ma, no amp!
