Replaced 24505521 ENGINE ASM-3.8L V6 (22 3/4" total end to end length)
Price dropped a couple of days just after my on line purchase. :( ( Unknown if it's the same )Unable to compare this particular part number and brand manufacturer with the Dorman, unless, I knew the exact design,metal thickness and tensile ? strength. This is a near identical replacement, not an upgrade.The metal part does seem as-if slightly weaker compared to the 24505521 or original part number stamped on the one it replaces in my 2001 GM Buick Regal.

Fit well but does not have raised lettering on loop like original part. Good service part but would have been nice to be just like original.

GM Original Equipment Service Replacement - The best.
This is the current GM Original Equipment replacement oil level indicator, if your vehicle was under warranty and needed one, this is the exact same part the GM dealer will install. It does not say "Engine Oil" on the handle, does that mean it gets 4 stars? Apparently... But the 3 stars and 1 star reviews are absurd... Check that it fits your vehicle and buy with confidence.
