The stainless steel pour over coffee dripper arrived yesterday and this morning I made my first cup of coffee with it. DELICIOUS!! I've been making pour over coffee for a long time, and this gave me a great cup. I followed the directions and made a bloom in the filter, let it set for about 30 seconds then pour hot water in a circular pattern over the grounds. It flowed quickly, so I didn't have to stand there tapping my toe waiting for my wake-up cup. Clean-up was easy and quick I'll be using this filter every morning.

so much better than expected
I have been coldbrewing coffee in a french press for the last few months. And I don't think I'll ever go back to regular coffee. My only complaint was short of a paper filter, which I did not want to use, no matter the grind, due to extended time the coffee grinds were sitting in the water, I ended up with sediment in my coffee. Even after running through a double japanese non-paper tea filter. (which helps to catch the bigger grinds that make it past the french press mesh screens, but not the fine powdery sediment) Not a big deal if I could remember to STOP SWISHING the last few ounces of coffee. I have tried, but inevitably in my busy morning, I swish, drink, and cough and then yell at myself for making the same mistake EVERY SINGLE TIME! (you'd think at some point, I'd learn...) I even went as far as to get coffee filters that were made from hemp instead of paper, but do not love the idea of spending $15 for coffee filters every month. So I figured I would try this. I didn't have the highest expectations because normally you get what you pay for and I was only spending about $10 for this (amazon warehouse slightly damaged box) new item. It arrived a little later than expected but as soon as it arrived I had to try it. Luckily I made a batch of cold brew yesterday that was sitting in the fridge. So a quick wash and rinse and I was ready to go. I always store my coffee in mason jars so I grabbed two empty pint jars and setup the stand on top of the first. I then poured directly from my quart jar in to the filter and watched it pour through to the first jar. (where I wasn't expecting much sediment since it had been sitting in the fridge for 24 hours, the sediment had mostly settled at the bottom). After the first pint jar was full, I moved on to the second knowing this would be the real test. So swish, swirl, and pour. To my surprise, I started seeing the sediment catch on the filter almost immediately after the coffee started to drain out. I watched and waited - the process was extremely fast and surprisingly effective. I studied the 2nd filtered jar and behold - NO SEDIMENT! inside the filter, was an entirely different story. There, in the filter, instead of my coffee, was all that sediment that I had seen and swirled and swished. The filter was super easy to clean - a little water and a little dawn, and then rinse and let dry.Only time will tell if this will hold up. I may at some point try doing a pour over with hot water but for now I am enjoying a sediment free cup of cold brew.

easy to brew real coffee
Fabulous item. It's a good size and pretty enough to sit on the counter. I love that each person can brew the strength or coffee that they like, and they can pick different flavors. Super quick to use and easy to clean.I had a big, expensive, "pod" machine sitting on my counter, and I did not like it. It's slow, loud, and too big. I don't like traditional coffee makers because some people like stronger coffee, and if the first person made it too weak, you have to pour out the whole pot and start over. Or, it will sit for too long and get nasty... and you have to pour out the whole pot. The coffee dripper solves all of those problems.

Ease of Use and Cleaning
For ten bucks - or half the price of the other, similar conical coffee filter I had previously - this thing works great. Very well made. I usually just place the filter directly inside my coffee cup, which as a pretty common-size opening on the larger side, add three tablespoons of course grounds, wait a minute or so until the water stops boiling - we use an electric tea pot to heat water - pour over just to wet and open the bouquet for about 30 seconds, then continue to pour until the grounds and water sit about even to the top of the coffee cup (the filter sticks up a bit over the lip of the cup). I like to just let it sit there, then drain it after a half-hour while I drink some green tea, and gently warm it up in a sauce pan. If all this sounds ridiculous, just use this product as intended: place the entire contraption over your cup (holder and filter), pour water over the grounds, and enjoy your hot cup of coffee.

Love this! It even came with instructions to make the perfect cup. It is a little larger than I need since I'm only making a cup at a time, but at least this would fit over any size mug. I love that I don't have to purchase/waste paper filters for this too.

perfect!
my father in law hates plastic and has been using a plastic coffee dripper with papers. I got him this for Christmas and loves it and how the coffee tastes when you don't have to use paper filters - this dripper is designed to not have to use paper filters. His is happy as a clam with his new stainless steel coffee dripper! Hasn't been in use long enough to determine durability tho seems like it will last a long time

Hot, Hot. Hot.
This product does the job, but there could be some improvements made for safety.Because of the type of metal used, both elements become VERY HOT.The tiny little handle on the cone could certainly be larger and the "rubber" cover for that handle could be more substantial. Maybe have a handle on both sides? The stand for the cone, once placed over the coffee cup, also becomes very hot. Could be dangerous. If these elements could be improved this would be one sweet product. Clean up is a breeze.

No need for expensive coffeemaker!
Bought this, together with a WiFi Tp-link switch and an electric kettle. Use phone to turn on the switch which turns on the kettle and hot water is ready by the time I get to the kitchen. Excellent setup. Better hot coffee, or tea.
