My Star Wars obsessed toddler loves this book! So simple and cute Review: Great Introduction of Star Wars for Young Kids! - My kids are too young to start watching the Star Wars movies, but they love Block Books. Their parents (my wife and I) are lifelong Star Wars fans; though we won't get into our opinions on original trilogy versus prequels, sequels, and spin-offs. When I saw that there was a Block Book for the Star Wars universe, I jumped at the chance to share something I love with my kids. The quality of this book lives up to the other Block Books we own. It is a great, condensed and kid-appropriate stroll through George Lucas' vision. The kids love to pull out this book and name all of the characters and what their alliances are and they haven't even seen any of the movies. It's a fun experience to have with your small kids without having to worry about the more adult intensity of the actual movies. Block Books don't disappoint!

My kid loves it
My almost 2 year old loves this book. It is a great way to learn the Star Wars character names for a young kiddo. He loves looking at all the pictures and spotting his favorite characters! Best Star Wars book I've found for a toddler (most others are directed at an older audience).

Best Suited for Elementary School Aged
Overall it seems like a good book. But it definitely seems more appropriate for an Elementary School aged child & not a toddler or young preschooler. I was a little surprised by the amount of people who felt it was appropriate for their 1 year or 2 year old. There was no blood or any really scary scenes - except where one of the characters is dropped into a pit with a creature with large teeth (forgive me I don't know all my star wars terminology). But there were multiple scenes with guns. I know that is controversial & some people may feel that is appropriate for young children, but I think more appropriate for an Elementary school or late preschool aged child when you can have an actual conversation about it with them. There maybe multiple people who disagree, but I just wanted to make sure others were aware of this prior to purchasing. We will probably give this to our kiddo when he is closer to 5 years old not 1 1/2 years old.
