No one should ever need to visit a tire store (or bike shop) for a defective/busted/leaking valve stem. These things are great and easily install in minutes. Make sure you have both a 1/2" socket and wrench handy for easy installation - start with the socket, and finish with the wrench (at least on bikes, a deep socket may not offer clearance for the final tightening).

Knocked a valve stem off on a recent off-road adventure. Fortunately I had a Colby Emergency Valve stem replacement kit on board. Pretty easy to install. Sealed up tight once I tightened it properly. Held up for about three weeks until I was able to get in to the shop and get it replaced. The Colby Emergency Valve Stem kit version does not work well with stock Jeep rims. The plastic wings to tighten the stem in place are a little too big. The permanent kit works better because you can use a deep socket to tighten the stem in place. Also, recommend carrying a 3/8 inch dowel to knock the remnant TPMS components into the tire in order to mount the Colby.

Worked perfectly to replace the broken valve on my temporary “donut” spare tire. Easy to install, very well made of brass. Tested over 3 days and it held 60 psi of pressure. May be slightly heavier than standard rubber valve so may affect balance but not a concern for my spare.

For some reason the package looked like it was in someone's pocket for a while? The parts are genius. I wish I had known about this 40 years ago. Losing a valve stem is only made worse by what you have to do to replace it. Having a couple of these in the toolbox is like having your own ATM machine. Dude, you shove it in and pump it. Where have I heard that? Anyway, no lugs, no bead brakes just down the road. The moral to this adventure is maybe buy an extra set.

Amazing! I purchased these for my camper tires when I installed an aftermarket TPMS system. I had 2 rubber valve stems start leaking. Come to find out the TPMS sensors are so heavy they put a strain on the valve stem. I used these instead of taking the entire tire off the rim. Much easier and very stout!

What a lifesaver! I had to use these on my motorcycle. Valve stem dry rotted and then my motorcycle jack broke so i wasn’t able to remove the wheel. Ordered this set and threw it on as soon as I received it. Still holding pressure and no issues at all!

Used this to replace a split valve stem on my van. The valve was easy to install and seemed to be doing the job, but there turned out to be a leak from the valve core which was not tightened enough inside the valve stem. This was obviously a very easy fix but make sure to order a valve core tool with this kit to check the core is tight before using. Otherwise, this has been on my van for a few months now with no issues, would definitely recommend carrying these as a spare if going on long trips or travelling off road

Haben mir schon häufig auf Reisen geholfen. Handhabung super einfach und schnell. Halten tun sie auch! Um sie heil wieder aus der Felge zu bekommen muss der Reifen abmontiert werden. Wirklich ein super Produkt, was in meinem Offroader als Ersatzteil nicht mehr fehlen darf. 2 Ersatzgummis sind mit dabei.
