Glorious GMMK 2 - TKL Hot Swappable Mechanical Keyboard, Red Switches, Wired, Compact Gaming Keyboard - Full Size (Pink) (Renewed)

This is definitely an upscale keyboard! While some people can use a $8 keyboard and be happy with it, others of us are much more finicky because of how much time we spend at the keyboard. This is a solid, heavy keyboard and has a good 'feel' and sound. Mine has the Glorious brand red switches - over the past several years we've gone from a few basic colors meaning a few basic key characteristics, to many brands and many colors... pink, red, clear, black, brown, blue, yellow, orange, and one mfr's 'red' switch may be very different than the next and the next. I can tell you that the Glorious red switches are pleasant, not overly loud but not as quiet as I might like so I added silicone o-rings to the underside of the keycaps and that made it about perfect. The supplied software may be a bit cryptic to figure out but it will do what it should if you use some trial and error to figure it out. I consider the price I paid to be a super value as I got my keyboard 'renewed' - certainly looks brand new to me!

Fantastic keyboard and service! It works and feels great! The red switches are awesome; they make typing feel very fluid. I did have one issue, which was that the letter "Y" on the keyboard had a "U" keycap instead of "Y," so it looked like this on the keyboard: "R'T'U'U'I." I sent a message to Verdi, and they responded super quickly and shipped a "Y" keycap to resolve the problem.

The media could not be loaded. I loved how it felt right out of the box. the board is heavy and sturdy, the keycaps are solid and have an interesting texture to them. I love tactile switches so I got the Gazzew BOBA U4T instead of the Glorious Fox (which are really nice if you're into linear feel). I lubed the switches with G-Lube and lubed the stabilizers with 22058. Got a deep nice sound with a crisp bump.Didn't sound mod it at all, because it already came with sound dampening material inside. So really If you want to get a nice sound straight out of the box, this one is pretty close to it!

So full disclosure the first one I've receive has a faulty "A" key. It could be just not installed correctly but I didn't want to void any warranty or coverage by "opening" it. As the "Glorious Fox Switch" is not available for purchase/replacement it was suggested I rma the keyboard to be safe.Now I love gaming, typing and coding. So I need a "full" keyboard. I have been through corsair, logitech, razer and a saddening list of 'cheapos.' I needed a 'rugged' keyboard with raised keycaps for an easier clean. I demanded Hot Swap and a removable usb cable so if either went, and they will, they can get replaced. I was looking for a forever Keyboard.This is it. 100% not a single regret, wish I could give it more stars. It is solid construction, hefty, raised keycaps and hot swap. I'm a linux user to boot and RGB can all be done via the FN key so I even though I can not use the Glorious Core software I can still alter the lighting on the fly. I have not tried using a Windows machine to mess with custom mapping or macros but I just wanted a solid keyboard so it is not something I am concerned with bothering with.The price is on par with most of the other keyboards I have bought in the past, and the $ I saved on getting is a new game on the next big sale. I still waited on this keyboard until my last one died because of the price and I wish I had not.It is missing a few keys on 100%/Full keyboards and the spacing is a little weird but I'm quickly getting use to it. No different then when I got an "ESports" 60% with the arrows and ten keys thinking I didn't want them.I am hopeful the replacement one will live up to everything this one was, if you want something that can potentially get buried with you, get this. It's the faithful companion every gamer needs in their life and ladies love great keyboards, so do it.Note: I am unable to review the 'retail' version at this time but I doubt there is much in the way of performance differences of the 'renewed' one I received.

The port on the keyboard came faulty and I have to wiggle the cable to get it to work. It will also disconnect randomly, becoming more frequent over time. It's a great keyboard, I just wish it came in working condition. After less than 6 months of regular use the keyboard stand legs broke off as they were made from cheap plastic.

Keyboard came with a faulty switch so I swapped it out with a less used key and I can't say these keyboards are 100% tested but other than that keyboard came in good condition physically. Not sure if I will eventually fall into another faulty switch.

The switches look, sound and feel great. The leds are bright and shine nicely. The shine through keycaps feel good and look good. I came from a Logitech Illuminated K740 laptop keyboard so this was a nigh/day change. It's heavy and doesn't move because of that which is great. The cable can be removed but it looks and feels high quality. The software is very easy to use and navigate and is way better then epomaker. If you need a full size, get this. I use excel a lot and use the numpad a lot so I can't live without it. The software lets you adjust the led colors blanket and per key and you can make profiles. I got mine refurbished and it came with everything in the box. For the money you get a high quality, upgradable and customizable keyboard that has easy to use software. If you want to have something nice right out of the box, get this, but at least you have a great platform to start with if you do want to add better switches and keycaps. sky is the limit if you do.
