A good value and great for travel
I bought this for a trip to Europe to use as my personal item. The size is great (just make sure to keep it not expanded to easily fit underneath your airplane seat.) Between this and my international size carry on I had no issues packing for my 7 day journey. The bag feels light, durable, and is a great value in my opinion. Backpacks can be pretty expensive these days. I will be using this mainly for travel and like the fact that I can expand it depending on the need. I like that it can open all the way up for easier packing or just getting to things, has zippers with locking rings, and that the laptop sleeve can be accessed with it own zipper. Pretty convenientI I am looking forward to many trips using this bag.

Useful as a personal item bag for air travel
High quality osprey backpack. Two zipped pockets on the back. Two side pockets for water containers or whatever. Backpack straps can be slipped out of the way into a wide strap for carrying over a suitcase handle. Opens like a clamshell. One large zipper pocket inside. Worked well as a personal item bag for air Cañada 17in x 13in x 6in. Can be expanded to 17in x 13in x 8in for many other airlines. Not a lot of individual pockets but was perfect for my needs. Would be nice to have a double zipper on the top back pocket so one could partially open it without having to fully unzip it.

Found "The One"
I've had other bags from Osprey and Peak Design, but this one seems to fit my needs perfectly. It's very lightweight, looks good (tunnel vision grey is nice!), is just the right size while being expandable if necessary, stands up on its own, and has all the right features, like a luggage pass through and AirTag slot. Any bigger and it would be too bulky fully packed and not great on airplanes as a personal item. The straps are very comfortable and while it isn't a professional styled bag, its fine for business casual meetings. With compression packing cubes, it can carry 3 days of clothes no problem. I carry some shock cord with it so I can tie a jacket or something to it if needed. Hard to beat in this price range.

Great Bag!!
Was looking for a day/travel bag and kept coming to this one. I saw that it was always out of stock or the delivery time was was about a month or so. One day I clicked on it and saw that it was available for delivery within a few days. I jumped on it and delivered as scheduled. The next day I checked and it was back to a four or so week wait for delivery lOnce I receive the bag it was just what I was looking for. Perfect size and the expandable option is great. I like the fact that the front pock was changed to a zipper and not just open. The build quality is great and has a good amount of storage space. Definitely value for the price I got it for.

I love this bag!
Great Osprey quality, and it holds a lot. I used it as a personal item paired with the matching Osprey Daylite duffel as a carry on for my two week trip to Europe, and I was able to hold everything I needed between these two bags and still bring home souvenirs. I did remove a star because the front pocket design is not beneficial if your bag is stuffed; the pocket doesn’t give and isn’t built outside of the front cover, so there is no way to put anything in it unless there is space still available inside the bag. This bag works as a personal item on most airlines, though it’s technically too big for the stricter dimensions on the budget European airlines.

Best personal item I’ve ever owned.
Personal item sized. Great for camping or travel by plane. Bucket style opening as opposed to top zipper make for organized packing and far more functional than traditional backpack. Straps are comfortable.

Nearly perfect for air travel, or other kind of short city trip. Not for backpacking.
Best backpack for a casual traveler. No wonder Osprey can't keep them in stock. I had to wait to get one for myself in color that I wanted and then wait again to get one for my wife. With this backpack you never need to check baggage on airplane. Perfect complement to a carry-on roller. Fits under the airplane seat like a hand in glove. Has just right number of pockets of just right size. Slides nicely over the handle of a carry-on suitcase for wheeling around. I love the zipper that opens up like a suitcase for easy packing and access. Nearly perfect in every aspect for the purpose of city-to-city travel. I can hardly find anything that irritates me about it. Well-built with nice materials, but not overstuffed and puffy as many laptop backpacks.Only cons:Cannot double as a decent backcountry backpack - wrong shape/balance to carry a heavy load. Not a daypack for being out exploring the town - too big to take to a museum and conspicuously betrays you as a target for pickpocketing.

Perfect for budget airline travel!
The ultimate pack for the very specific purpose in getting in a plane without having to deal with airline overcharges. It fits as a personal item on every airline and every bin sizer I have encountered. When you need a little extra. It expands. And the quality is top notch. For the money …. It’s a very useful investment
