Leander Matty Changing Mat (Cappucino)

i’m writing this review before baby has arrived, but I already love it! i love the simple, modern design, but that it has the same functionality as the keekaroo! waterproof & wipeable! the material seems very durable, like it would last through multiple children! a couple things to note: - I ordered the color cappuccino, but in person it looks a little darker than the picture. I don’t mind that, but someone else might. -I was hesitant to buy at first because of the width measurement (was gonna be a little big), but I ordered anyway just to see & im glad I did! the sides of the mat flare out, which the measurements posted are based on (I tried to take a picture of the flare to show what I’m talking about), but the base not including the flared sides is 16” in width and 25” length. -it does come with straps, but they can come off if wanted hope this helps!

The little one is so comfy on this thing and enjoys changing sessions that extend into casual chats and playtime. Great quality and easy to clean. If my LO could sleep on this, she would. She prefers hanging out on this over the crib, bassinet, or play mat. One of my favorite registry items. No regrets!

Make sure you check measurements like I did because I knew what dresser I wanted for my son’s nursery and needed a changing pad for the top that: 1. Didn’t slide around but also didn’t leave a residue on my brand new baby’s dresser from sitting there over long periods 2. Wasn’t too high maintenance, don’t want to deal with washing covers and fitting them back on 3. Still comfy for baby 4. Cute color The Leander Matty changing pad fit all those needs. Yes it was pricey but it was well worth it. I bought the cappuccino color back in 2021, used it until my son got too long for it, started kicking me in the chest for diaper changes. Here we are in 2023 (almost 2024), the pic is after 1.5 yrs of solid use and it still looks the same. Now, I did end up using disposable pad liners on top (basically puppy potty training pads, they’re cheaper and same exact thing) because the foam, while firm but comfy, does get cold on baby’s skin. The disposable pad can easily be tossed and swapped for a new one after any potty messes. Wipe down changing pad with a baby wipe, light soapy water or all purpose baby friendly cleaner, let it air dry and you are done! I did try sanitizer once to dissolve the sticky residue from the disposable potty training liners and it started to discolor the Leander changing pad so I immediately stopped, never used it again. Don’t do that. The safety straps are removable and honestly I left them off the entire time. But I did like how when the safety straps were attached, it did not mess with the changing pad’s ability to lay flat. The changing pad is slightly raised with little rubber/silicone type feet and after two years of being on top of my son’s dresser and 1.5 yrs of use, the pad’s feet never once stuck to my furniture or discolored anything. I did regularly clean underneath as dust does have a tendency to float under it. And I did use a cool mist humidifier on top of it for several months so as not to place it directly on the furniture and after all that, the Leander changing pad held up. I would say yes, buy it.

Heavy weight and nonslip. Surface not cool to the touch so more comfortable for baby. Easy to clean.

I love the way it looks and it’s so easy to clean. It’s not as bulky as the peanut and no fussing with covers like traditional ones. Totally recommend

Easy to clean. Large, but minimalistic. Can change my infant or 3 year old on it. Durable, 8 months old of heavy use with no obvious wear!
