Good enough to keep out a child
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought it by accident, thinking I clicked buy on a different safe. I ended up keeping it. It works for what it is- a cheap safe. It won't keep out an adult who wants to get on it, but works fine to keep a child out.

Good Safe, Posted Specs are Mostly Correct
As sub $300 "safes" go, this one is good quality. Very often they use 1.5mm sheet metal for the body and 3mm sheet metal for the door. This one uses 2mm sheet metal for the body and 4mm for the door. That difference is significant. The electronic interface is simple, though sometimes it can be finicky accepting your code. Just keep trying and it will work. I have verified as correct the posted measurements (9.84"D x 13.78"W x 9.84"H). The actual weight on my scale is just over 22 lbs, 11 oz which is another way of verifying the amount of steel used. It has predrilled holes to secure it in place which is essential, so it can be neither water proof nor fire proof. The workmanship on these is good compared to some and the paint job is excellent. It's an attractive safe. With the door closed, the internal clear depth is 9" less the 1 3/4" electronics compartment which is recessed into the safe. As usual, these safes from the same factory are sold under different names by different sellers and I already have three of these but need one about 1" deeper. If the dimensions work for you, proceed with purchase if you are realistic about what you get at this price point. This is one of the better ones.
