Rare and Timeless

Ken is still quite creative in his ability to conjure up new musical experiences. His personal Christian beliefs are quite relevant through out much of the material as the lyrics meld well with the intensity and passion of the music. Whether you are a Christian or not, if you enjoyed his song writing with the Heep as well as some of his other individual endeavors, I think you will enjoy this. It was good hearing a more current rendition of "Fortune" from Proud Words on a Dusty Shelf, i.e. one of my favorite Hensley albums. Loved the rendition of "Lady in Black" as well.

nice selection of songs from Hensley.rare versions and he says a little something about each song which is nice.the new songs also good nothing heavy here.bottom line is if you like ken Hensley's solo work,you'll love this

The sound quality of this is amazing. It is a good anthology of Ken's solo career.

The duet with Glenn Hughes on the 5th track was a wonderful surprise.

I first heard Ken Hensley on the radio. Tracks "When Evening Comes" and "Cold Autumn Sunday" were the tracks played and the rest followed on his debut album "Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf". Rare & Timeless contains some already released tracks but also has some new superb tracks. Having bought a 2CD "Best Of" album by Ken Hensley I found Rare & Timeless a great addition. Best Of's usually leave out a lot of good tracks and contain not so good tracks so Rare & Timeless just filled the gap. Ken Hensley as you know was a member of Uriah Heep.

A mixture of old and new tracks, and some reworking of old material.A fantastic album.Ken is a brilliant song writer and musician.A definite purchase for any Uriah Heep fan.
