This converter works but there's resistance to 130 watt adapters
My olde XPS 15 9550 laptop was not charging. Although the replacement battery is two years old, I gambled that it might be the AC adapter charger. I tried using this via a 130 watt USB C charger and it works, although my laptop BIOS rates the wattage as 90 rather than the required 130 watts so there might be some resistance via this device. It does run hot so it doesn't appear to be rated for 130 watts, but now I have diagnosed the problem as a defective AC adapter for $10.

runs my old dell laptop from power bank
I'm using this to run my old dell laptop from a power bank to get extra run time when I'm off grid. I can run my old dell for about 2 extra hours using this and a 20,000 mAh power-delivery power bank.I'm also using this along with a 100 watt usb C power adapter instead of my dell's original power adapter. This let me reduce the amount of stuff I'm toting around by getting rid of the dell adapter and my phone charger and using the same usb C power adapter for both my phone and laptop.I can also use my ryobi one+ batteries to run my laptop for even more off-grid run-time by using ryobi's usb C adapters for their batteries along with this adapter for my old dell.I can solar re-charge all of my usb C batteries, so 'converting' my dell to usb C using this adapter means my dell is effectively solar powered now.

Gives a person options for charging their Dell laptop
I have had power adapters suddenly die on me in the past and with my Dell 2 in 1 laptop I have an aftermarket power adapter that appears to be made well, but you never know. Having this little adapter adapter gives me peace of mind that if my PSU does fail me, I can still charge the laptop by other means while I wait for another PSU to be delivered. Fantastic product.
