Review: Solid book on analog electronics 💪 - Really good book if you want to learn analog systematic way similar to way it is taught in university. It has better explanation when compared to ravazi microelectronics but ravazi has hand wavy approach to everything which I really enjoy. This book is more inclined to MOSFET which is now industry standard only downside is end of chapter solutions is not available anywhere only thing I could find is a solution manual from Chegg but it is incomplete if you go to publication website for solution they ask academic id Review: TWO NEW CHAPTERS TO THIS EDITION - Amazing book for learning analog electronics. It starts from the basics and goes further to higher degree.A must for BTech ECE or EE.The seventh edition has two new chapters ch6 & ch9 which are Transistor amplifier & Frequency response respectively.Chapters are given in a systematic order and each chapter has few new problems in comparison with it's sixth international edition.I have both the edition but I liked this edition more due to it's organised chapters. However both the edition has almost same contents. This is the best till now.Study Millman & Halkias only after studying few chapters from this book (advice for beginners only).❤️❤️❤️ for sedra & Smith sir.GEETA OF ANALOG ELECTRONICS.Last but not the least thanks desertcart for fast and timely delivery without damage.

Good introductory book !!!
A good book overall. ...Getting to the book contents / structure first - I'll summarize a few things that caught my eye: For the South Asia Edition - the Title is 'Microelectronic Circuits: Theory And Applications' [it's 'Microelectronic Circuits' for the US Edition]. Not sure why this needed to be changed. Chapter-3 is appended to Chapter-1, so we have one chapter less here. Some of the chapters are moved int different Parts within the book - but the overall content of these is almost the same. Have attached the snaps of the contents - it might help I hope. There are a few typos in the End-of-Chapter problems for e.g. - the problem 4.48 (Ch4) mentions Fig. P4.48 - which isn't there at all !! There is a Fig P4.47 & a P4.49, but no P4.48!! I had to refer back to the US edition [and it's Ch6 there :) ] to find that problems 4.47 and 4.48 both refer to the same Fig - Fig P4.47. And though the Contents say - Appendices A-L - this edition only has the G, J, & K in it. What's perhaps most irritating is that we don't see the Bibliography section in this print [which is Appendix I in the US edition]. Unlike most other texts - which usually have References at the end of a chapter, the authors here have combined all the References and put them in 3 pages and then grouped these under different topics [Circuit and System Analysis, Analog Circuits etc.]. Though its on the website, this definitely needs to go into the hard-copy/print in my opinion. It's so surprising that a 1300-odd page book couldn't have an an additional 3 pages added to it! The Index at the end of the book is better managed this time [I remember many of the topics and their page numbers didn't coincide in the 6th International Student edition]. Apart from all these, I personally found it to be a very good book for Analog design. The flow of the content is very smooth. I feel It might be a good introductory text before tackling the more advanced ones like Gray/Meyer, Holberg, Razavi etc. The chapters have lot of solved examples, End-of-Chapter problems are do-able and start-off from easy to more difficult ones. It will help a LOT to solve each one of the solved problems first and then move ahead. By the way - these problems are also grouped according to the corresponding sections in the chapter. The restructuring on the 6th edition is a big relief - as also mentioned by the authors in the Preface. I had the 6th edition with me but looking at the changes and the effort put in, I decided to buy the 7th edition as well. And - the price is reasonable too :)

The book is really good. I have read only 2 chapters so far but the way the authors explain even the simplest concepts is pretty good. I am not sure if this is a word by word copy of the international version as the book says it's adapted by Arun N. Chandorkar, but even if the content is modified, I wouldn't mind because the end result is very good.
