DragonWar Desert Eagle Gaming Keyboard GK-001

First of all great service provided by Amazon India . I ordered this product from amazon fulfilled seller because it guarantees 100% genuine products with maximum customer support . I received my product within 2 days without any delivery charges . DragonWar Desert Eagle is a good quality gaming keyboard . I tested it on Windows 7 and 8.1 and it works perfectly . The buttons are sturdy and it gives quite a professional experience of using a gaming keyboard as it should . It also comes with 8 Key Caps (to replace the blue keys) and a Game Pad ( or some say Keyboard Pad ) . Its kept below the lower part of keyboard so that you can place your palm on that Game Pad while using the keyboard . Most people think that its for keeping the keyboard on it but actually it is for keeping your palm as you can see the picture on the box how it should be actually placed and used . It is having a sleeved cable which is durable and a gold plated USB . If you want a gaming keyboard in this price range then go for it . Thank You Amazon

This is a review written just after unboxing the keyboard. Overall aesthetics are pretty good. The braided cable is apparently reassuring durability, keys are smooth and silent, about 2 on a scale of 10 where 1 is totally silent and 10 extremely noisy. The additional keys provided are W, A, S, D and the arrow keys - keys subject to the most wear on a gaming keyboard- but in black color instead of the stock blue. It also has short keys on left and right for quick access like play/pause, home, volume control, calculator, etc. I got it for ₹559 and MRP on the pack is ₹1090. So I guess it's pretty much a good deal. In place of the Windows Key, there is this logo of the 'Dragon War' brand, which on first sight looks like a printing oopsie.

The keyboard is decent and pretty much has what a gamer needs. Good key-roll over( can press more keys simultaneously without the beeping sound and being unresponsive).The durability is fine i guess as im writing this review after 3 years since purchasing it xD. So you can swear by this review. I have spilled many things over it countless times but still hasn't have any issue regarding a specific key not working. Comes with a keyboard mat (useless as nobody moves there keyboard all the time) and extra wasd keys to swap if the old one get erased but they are usless as the problem with this keyboard is the keys.. They feel fine for some period of time after being bought but afterwards they feel weird to press and the characters and numbers fade away after 6 or more months and the worst thing is the rubber beneath the keys (don't know what they are called) if you like put normal pressure on them over a period of time the rubber will get torn and the key will get imbalanced and weird to be pressed, just like you can see in the photo with A and space key.I have changed rubber from the keys that i dont use(for e.g. Home insert delete etc.) to keys like wasd(typical for a gamer) like three or more times but still they get torn and i don't think that i have more keys to swap from xD. This keyboard is not good if you want to keep this for a long time, will mostly be needed to be changed after an year. Considering the peripherals should work normally for more than 3 years i am kinda disappointed, but i guess thats what you'll get at this price point. I bought this for rs 650 in 2016. This keyboard only serves as a backup keyboard for me. If you've got more money to spare then go with those backlits membrane keyboards priced 800 to 1000rs.They almost have mechanical like feel and are rgb as well as durable and the keys are designed properly.

My 5years old frontech keyboard failed. So I decided to get a good gaming keyboard in this budget. I read several reviews and they said that this keyboard sucks. But don't believe in them. This keyboard is very nice. I'm using it for typing and mostly gaming(FPS Type)! I'm really amazed at this keyboard. It got matte finish and extra keys and also keyboard mat! What more we need in this price range. Go for it before it's too late! :D

UPDATE: The keyboard is good quality, but the location of hotkeys is a very big pain point. It is in the worst location possible for a gaming keyboard. Accidental presses happen all the time. This is a very bad design. -------------------------------------------- The keyboard is good. Overall good quality for the price. But I would like to deduct one star because the location of multimedia keys is not good. Accidental presses while playing games is a big problem. Also, the multimedia keys are not programmable and cannot be disabled either. Wish the location was better. Also, backspace key is very small. That could have been better too. For the quality and price, and considering the cons, 4/5.

Just stay away from this keyboard. It can't even compete with those Rs.200 keyboards whose name you have never heard off. I was using it for only basic office work. In 1 month, the keyboard is dead. Problem began with some keys double typing or not appearing at all. Note that I haven't even used it once for its intended use (Gaming !!). Just checked the 'DragonWar' website. They don't even have a warranty option listed !! In short, save your Rs.499+ and look for some other reputed brand.

It's a really decent budget solution for those who want a cheap and somewhat decent looking gaming(kinda) keyboard but the problem is in its software. I am not sure if it's only with Windows 10 operating system or with other operating systems as well but every now then it attempts to reinstall its drivers automatically which causes it to stop working. I connected it to two different systems but the problem is the same. It works but then suddenly it'll stop responding which is something unacceptable and I am not fond of looking for cheap alternatives to fix it. Build wise it's nothing fancy the plastic quality is same as Amkette's water resistant which I had ordered last year. So I'd say it's an okay looking budget solution for those who want a somewhat decent looking keyboard with key shortcuts but it's highly unreliable. So I am not happy with this purchase. Should you be buying it? I'd say no, you'll be better off not so gaming looking keyboards by logitech, dell or samsung if you really want something reliable, sturdy and durable.
