Great Awning!!! Performs as advertised!
Good product for the money. Clever design, good size. First time set up was on a very windy day, so a little tricky, needed 2-3 people because of the wind, but once set-up properly it was fine. Now that I know how, and with no wind, could comfortably set-up with just two (with practice, could probably do it alone!). Note - the wind gusts increased and most others at the tailgate had to take down their awnings, I just removed the privacy wall and poles and just dropped down and staked it out. It was fine and still had enough room for two adult chairs, two coolers and camping table.Good price, good size, everything you need is included, instructions sew-in, stake-down rope in bright color so people can see it, low weight, built-in ventilation window, small package, easy packing (the carrying case is the right size, so no struggles getting back in like some other vendors of similar items).First time I set it up on the side of my Jeep Renegade for a tailgate. The vehicle is very compact, so wasn't as wide as the awning, had to be a little creative with how I attached it, but really no problem at all, ample tie-down/bungee cords to attach to the roofline (have a roof cargo rack installed). Will spend more time thinking it through next time. One observation, one of the poles bent as we were setting up. It was windy and my wife was holding it as we were fighting the wind gusts and trying to stake it down. No big deal, I was able to bend it back on the spot, but something to be careful with.Very satisfied with the product, would definitely recommend!!!

Not waterproof at all.
Ok, I wanted to love this canopy. Upon initial unboxing, I was impressed by the sturdiness of the shock-corded fiberglass poles, the size of the canopy matched my vehicle nicely, and the fabric seemed nice. But then I actually set it up and tested it for a weekend ...First off, while the product description says that this offers "protection from rain", it did not. Water was slowed down as it fell, but that is about it. The ground under a nearby tree was dryer than the ground under this tarp. And it was not just the seams leaking, the water was clearly passing through the fabric throughout the tarp.Next, even if the fabric had been waterproof, the "rear window" is held "closed" only by 4 small patches of cheap velcro - in the slightest hint of breeze from that side, it would blow open. When the flap is up, the rectangular opening is mosquito mesh and it is plenty large enough to let through a lot of rain.Next, while the shock-corded fiberglass poles for the canopy itself were stout and well-fitted, the vertical poles for the two outer corners were cheap and did not fit together well, leaving them floppy and zig-zaggy. They are also not height-adjustable so the tarp height cannot be matched to your vehicle or to uneven terrain. (Note that the name of this item contains the phrase "Offroading Gear".)Finally, the attachment system provided is a set of two bungee cords with plastic hooks on the ends and an adjustment point in the center - this is meant to allow you to adjust the cords to your vehicle, however, you can only adjust where the midpoint is, not the overall length - meaning that if it's too long for your vehicle you have to tie loops in it somewhere to take up the slack... If you buy this thing you'll want to bring your own set of adjustable length bungees or cargo-straps to attach to your vehicle. One of the plastic hooks on mine was broken, but that may have happened in shipping so may not be the manufacturer's fault.Additional note (1): this tarp is not symmetrical, i.e. while it is ten feet long, the center point is offset to make room for the "window" feature. This may not be a problem depending on how you set this onto your vehicle, but it is definitely something to figure out at home before going out into the field for the first time.Additional note (2): The privacy wall provided is only for the short (seven foot) end of the canopy and is very light weight with no attachments across the top to hold the gap between the top and side closed. Also, it requires the two guy-lines from the vertical poles to hold it's sides out, which would require the guy-lines to be led straight out parallel. But, to get the canopy sturdy you need those same guy-lines out at angles. Soooo, if you want to use this "bonus" feature, you need to bring 2 extra guy-lines along with you, and be prepared for a lot of annoying flapping if there is any breeze.Bottom line, this thing got returned ASAP. At this price point, there have to be far better options.

Excellent value & easy to set up
I am very pleased with this canopy, which I use to cover the doorway of my Rustic Trail teardrop camper. It is easy to set up by myself, and provides protection from sun and rain. Although it is not a heavy duty tarp like my dad used to put up, it is an excellent value for the low price. Since I didn't learn tarp-setting-up from my dad, the ease of set-up and take down is important to me. I hook one side to my teardrop and support the other side with poles. It comes with 2 poles that I found a bit too tall for me, so I use a pair of adjustable height poles. I stake each pole with 2 lines to add stability (learned my lesson about just staking once in a thunderstorm when the canopy went airborne). This canopy is very versatile - if I wanted to put it up with four poles, independent of my camper, I could. If I want heavy rain protection, I will probably need to cover it with an added tarp, since it has a mesh "window" that can be uncovered. I haven't had it in those conditions yet, but could probably use the sidewall over the canopy for extra protection when that occurs.

Quality
Received my awning/canopy and set it up. Easy set up and looks good but the stitching is not good. The stitching on the clips are not water proof. You can see daylight right through it. Not sure how long it will last before it rips. There is tape on the stitching for the pockets where the ends of poles go but no where else. Also the zipper on the carry bag is not stitched properly. Sections of it is not even attached to bag (gaping holes). Simple quality control is not there. We will see how long it last?

really cute and perfect for our T@G trailer as rain and sun shield
Perfect fit and not too hard to assemble. We used it on side door for exiting in rainy weather.Worked well and looked charming but took a hike and returned to find it blow over and one pole had snapped in half. Only the second time we used it.The winds were only mild to moderate that day, certainly not strong enough for us to worry about the unit.Company replaced it free on charge which was great!

Nice design but poor quality
I like the design of this awning. It works great with our teardrop trailer. The ripstop nylon seems to be of good quality but sadly the webbing used to hold the clips on started to fray on the first use and by the third time we set it up so many of the webbings for the clips had frayed so badly that it was unusable despite careful handling by an experienced camper in stable conditions. I emailed the company and got a response within hours. They had not heard of this problem and hoped that is was a one time thing. They offered a couple of options to correct the problem. I would not hesitate to order from this seller as their customer service is top notch!

Leaks quite a bit but generally good product
It's alright as a product, generally speaking but it actually leaks quite a bit. So, when it comes to rain, it is so-so at best. I am a bit disappointed, I must say. Instructions on how to install it on various kinds of cars would be appreciated, although we ended up figuring out a couple of different nice options as it is quite flexible, in the end. Just too bad that it is a bit on the cheap side, as suggested by the multiple leaks.

Heavy duty poles
Heavy duty upper poles and strong back poles makes this trailer hatchback kitchen tent a charm . East up and take down
