This did not cool at all. Even though I added ice and the frozen ice packs that came with it. It did not put out cool air at all. I have stopped using it. Also, only one side is open to all allow air flow. The other side should also be open so you can really feel air coming out of it. Tell the manufacturers to fix the issue. This could be a great product if you make it properly to make it feel like an air conditioner.

I was skeptical to drop the $150 on this item, fearing it was just a glorified fan, but there was a triple digit heatwave coming and my window AC had gone on the fritz, so out of sheer panic and desperation, I purchased this, and was very pleasantly surprised to find it does pretty much everything it promises to do. It's easy to use, comes with it's own ice packs (which are not mandatory but do contribute to cooler airflow), and is really refreshing. I have a one-bedroom apartment with very high ceilings, and it's on the 2nd floor where the heat rises and hovers (the "attic effect") so I knew it wasn't going to cool the entire room, but if you position the unit relatively close to you (within 6 feet) and aim it so it hits you directly, you will feel a delicious cool breeze, unlike a fan which just whips the hot air at you! It's also much quieter than a fan. I got so used to having it on, I continued using it even after the weather cooled down again, just because I like that "breezy" feeling of air movement within my apartment. I've only had it a month or so--but hope it lasts a long time. A window unit is till stronger and more effective, but this is a much cheaper substitute, with no installation worries, and it doesn't drain your electric bill nearly as much as running a noisy window unit.

I bought this when the reviews were at 5 stars in high hopes because it's been hot as heck in Texas.My upstairs A/C has been acting up and I think it's officially broken now. This swamp cooler basically just acts like a low powered fan. The ice packs barely cool the air. It's still hot as balls in here!

This is not an air conditioner, it's an air cooler that cools the atmosphere through the use of moisture. The advertisement calls it an AC, which is wrong. It leads you to believe that using the ice packs is optional, but this is not really the case. If you don't use the ice packs, you're not going to feel cool air. You're almost left with no choice but to use them. Sorry, but I don't want to deal with messy ice packs and water. I'd rather spend a little more and buy a small window AC. I bought this unit because it got such great reviews and the price was very reasonable, but I should've read the description more closely. The last thing I need in my basement office is moisture, when I work so hard to keep moisture out! If you want a humidifier, this is for you. If you want an AC, keep shopping.

This is not a replacement for an AC unit. It takes a while to product cold air when the cooling mode is applied but it does generate cold air once it gets going. Easy to operate, but the cooling packs shipped with the unit do not hold the cold for a long time. Perhaps, that's why 6 of them are shipped with the unit.Good enough for a small space and much cheaper to operate than an AC.

Wow where do I begin.Firstly this is the worst air cooler on the market especially at the price point.The machine didn’t help cool down my small room and barely worked as a fan.I tried to make a return and I find out I have to pay $70+ on shipping and there’s nothing Amazon will do to help me.Horrible product and even worse customer service. Honestly I’ve spent over $10k with Amazon in the last 2 years and had little to no problems but this really makes me want to stay away.This seller should be embarrassed

It didn't cool it feels just like a regular fan

This evaporative cooler should have been perfect for our low to no humidity room. I actually didn’t even tell my wife I added to the room. Days go by and I asked if she had noticed a difference in the temperature-nothing. This is a decent fan but I can get 3 of those for the same price. Would not recommend.
