Solid offering to play the American Civil War. For kids or serious wargamers on a budget.
Molded in American Civil War colors, these guys are almost ready to go as far as wargaming. I plan on getting washers about the size of a quarter and gluing these guys down to them for added stability. You have 64 guys in (32 per side) in a variety of battle poses ready to go for platoon style combat. 80 total figures. For a child these are ready to go as is. For a wargamer some cleanup is required, but no need for filling mold issues or anything. The sizes range anywhere from 11cm (4.33in) (flag bearer) to 4cm (1.57in) in a prone (kneeling) position. However, standing soldier position range from 5 1/2cm (2.16in)(standing), to 5 1/4cm (2.06in)(running).So, on average 54.86mm so that would place these in the 1/35 scale.80 pieces total:- 2 Flag bearers (1 per side)- 6 Generals (3 per side)- 6 horse riders (3 per side)- 2 Canon loaders (1 per side)- 64 total solders (32 per side) in a variety of poses with rifles. No broken pieces, or deformed manufacturing issues. In fact all the weapons came in straight too! Had they not, you just simply bring water to a boil, then shut off the water. Then use a ladle or some kind of deep frying tool and gently dip the solider in that water a few times, bend to correct position, and then run under cold water and that should fix it.Makes an excellent gift, or great on the wargaming table as is or or with some minor cleanup and washers. I usually game in 28mm and 15mm, but I'm not going to hesitate using my 28mm terrain with these guys to get some gaming going in the civil war era.

The south will rise again.......but not without horses
The media could not be loaded. I’ve seen a lot of different variations on little toy cowboys and Indians. I’ve seen knights of different colors, green American GI’s and brown Japanese, cavalry and Indians, but i have never seen American civil war plastic soldiers. I had to have them and I don’t regret my decision. It’s clear in my video that the confederate forces are a lot more energized than the union forces, that’s a given but the confederate soldiers also have at least four generals. I think that’s an exorbitant number of officers for such a small group of soldiers. That’s probably why they lost! Too many generals. The thing that is remarkable about this set of toy figures is that there are multiple “one offs” meaning only one soldier in a certain pose on both sides. The union figures and confederate figures look different but the poses are different too. The bases are a good size.I had no problem setting these up on the couch. The only thing that really annoyed me is that they included a half a dozen guys on horse back with no horses. Come on guys, I have to supply my own horses?!! So I don’t have horses for them at the moment which means these guys are just laying around when I need them on the line. Maybe I’ll get the horses from my Fort Apache play set for them to use later. Great set, with figures that look different but too many generals on the south side and no horses. Still five stars!

Not bad for tabletop wargaming
These seem to be about 1/32 scale, maybe 1/35. Had ordered One Hour Wargames by Neil Thomas and these figures looked like they would be a cheap way to get some ACW tabletop combat going. For this purpose, these figures work well. A stand of 4-6 figure frontage represents one company (200 men) These are a good alternative to 1/72 wargaming, especially if you have a decent sized table to use. (3’x3’ minimum) The detail on the figures is rough, but good enough. Figures in the background are 1/72 for scale reference
