I rated them a 3 for adhesion because I think they will be very difficult to remove - so you should consider them permanent unless to plan to refinish the wall. I put them on glass (to cover up what used to be a window before the landlord converted a covered patio area into an in-law unit) so I don't believe I will have a problem to remove with a razor blade scraper, but if you put on paint, I'm pretty sure the paint and texturing will come off when you remove. So use with caution in rental units. That said, they are very light weight and do seem to absorb some sound as well. Installation was quite easy and they do look real. A bit expensive for the quantity, but they did exactly what I wanted them to do and turned an eyesore (the window had been covered by a very faded and unattractive poster that only covered part of the glass with some wallpaper covering the rest) into a realistic looking bricked up wall area.

It’s awesome thing! Makes room looks so nice! We are very happy with it, but make sure next few days you checking the bricks time to time, and put some pressure with your arm, because adhesive is not like super glue. I mean it’s not falling off totally, but you can see next day some blocks are tending to diverge. But generally it’s a great thing.

They look awesome on my kitchen and dining room walls. "Classy" was a compliment I received. I hate to paint. So these are fantastically ideal and great looking! Easy to install, light weight and adhere like nothing I've ever experienced before. It's a work in progress.
