I wanted to hang outdoor lights on our porch, but we don't have any outdoor outlets. I used this in our porch light socket and it worked perfectly!

I have a storage closet with a porcelain light fixture and no electrical outlet. It would be handy to have an outlet since we often need one in the closet. This adapter is the perfect solution that adds two grounded outlets. I will likely only use one outlet at a time, but having the option is great. The adapter works fine with my standard LED bulb and makes my closet much more functional.

The product seems fine and worked for us. There are a lot of comments that the ground joke isn’t wired to anything- that’s because there would be no where for it to go. This is made to plug into a light socket, which provides only two contact points, “hot” and neutral. Where would a ground lead go? These things are flaky by design really, it’s obviously not really what a bulb socket is meant for, but they do work.
