Great Vtech Marble Run!
Great Vtech Set! We have a marble run obsessed kiddo. Vtech's sets are very durable, easy for kiddo to help build with parent, and they run them all on their own - including turning on or off any electronic features. We continue to invest in the vtech marble runs as they are great quality items!

Spiral lift broke fast
Great addition to vtech marble run, the dinosaur interaction with magnetic/non magnetic marbles is cool and the bucket lift is our favorite piece so far. That said, the elastic on the slingshot lift (spiral lift) broke or wore out after about 20 marbles, now it can't bring marbles back up to the top, it's effectively worthless.

A HIT WITH MY GRANDSON!
My grandson was totally excited when he saw this gift. He went right to work putting it together. He did so without using the instructions!!! He’s 13 yrs old. Since then he and his sister have tons of fun playing with it. One fantastic toy!

So close to being awesome. Seems really cool with lots of fun and unique tracks for the marbles to run through. Pieces click into each other but really do not lock at all; which means movement will have parts separating quite easily. So where you build it matters since moving it intact afterwords isn't likely to work. Instructions to build are decent, but at times, makes you have to use an educated guess at which orientation of a block should be since it just shows placement but not which way the openings go. Here's where it really falls short, unless it is on a perfectly level surface, the marble runs will not work/consistently work. Made the mistake on building it in carpet, and pieces wouldn't even click together without cominbgapsrt elsewhere, so then built it on a card table. The card table has a soft top to it, and while I could build the track, marbles wouldn't always go where they are supposed to. When I was trying to move it, it all came apart and has a rapid unscheduled disassembly. Some of the parts like the dinosaur mouth did not work consistently nor did the spiral lift. This could be a really cool and fun set if it worked consistently, but with it not, it becomes somewhat disappointing since unlike the original marble works that as long as gravity was good (duh!) it would always work. This set needs things to all be just right for marbles to move, so somewhat disappointing.

Not for kids under 5 for sure. Too difficult and fragile to build. We have the launch pad one but my little was not strong enough to make it launch because you need to smash the thing with adult strength to make the ball launch far enough. Dino one is better in this regard, but DO NOT build the last track in the manual. It doesn't work. The balls get stuck in several places and the ball won't launch into the Dino mouth. There is too much flex in the base plate and the ball will go wild. Also you NEED to use the gray double ramp with the launcher or that ball will NOT go into the Dino mouth reliably. I believe the manual shows a track using a single ramp. It won't work. It is pretty obvious they didn't beta test the tracks before they published the manual. Also they dont sell replacements magnetic balls, or any balls, so don't loose them. Regular marbles don't work.
