This is the only brace that helped me..

I purchased this thumb brace to replace another style that came apart where the two materials were joined together. I don't think it was made to be used for mechanic type work. I have severe arthritis in both hands and this brace enables me to use my hands more while working in my garage. This brace is all one piece and I like the way it comes down over my thumb base further. This style gives me more support due to more coverage. I would recommend.

Got it because my hand hurts arthritis not knowing if it does the job right. Make sure you check size and if its for left or right hand. Its ok reasonable price

Perfect just what I needed

I've purchased many hand braces in search for a good CMC thumb brace, this one is not it. Photos deceiving by using fake bone x-ray overlays to distorted the actual views. Inadequate support of the CMC joint and surrounding tissues. There is more support on the top of the hand, then the inside of the hand for thumb support. Item is over priced, not designed for daily long-term use. Just to try it on, I noticed, it is lock of padding, the inside metal strip is only half way support of the CMC joint/tissue to provide thumb stability. Velcro will not last for daily wears or long term use. The thumb opening is very small for a normal size small person. I'll be returning it.

I like my brace

The support for the cmc joint is mild. The position of the thumb hole seems too low causing pressure on the thumb. Overall not a useful product in my opinion.

Primero vamos con lo malo, su uso es incómodo si la apretamos demasiado, estamos hablando de una férula que inmoviliza parcialmente el movimiento del pulgar, pero la ergonomía del agujero donde se introduce el dedo es inexistente, es una simple costura que nos aprisionará el espacio y que concentra la presión en un solo punto, cuanto más apretemos el velcro para inmovilizar a un 90%, más nos molestará en dicha zona, hasta el punto de sentir como corta la circulación y nos causa dolor por su presión. Pero si la usamos apretando lo justo lo sobrellevaremos bastante mejor, inmovilizando aproximadamente un 60 o 70% el movimiento del dedo, lo cual ayuda a no sobrecargar la zona y a evitar la molestia que he comentado. El material que da rigidez a la férula es demasiado blando, imagino que debe ser de aluminio bastante delgado, hubiera agradecido que su grosor fuera un poco mayor, pero entiendo que no es una férula que busque una rigidez total. Para quien necesite una mayor inmovilidad, siempre queda el recurso de colocar una gasa o algo mas mullido entre el interior del dedo y la costura, para que no apriete de una forma tan cortante. Pero si necesitas inmovilizar al 100%, mejor buscar otro tipo de férula .

I have recently developed CMC osteoarthritis in my right thumb, which tends to throb if I am using it a lot during the day. The pain goes away when resting, but I cannot be immobile all day!! This thumb brace is very good quality. I already own a Fitomo branded product for my back and so was reassured that this would be helpful to me. When I first got it, it took me a while to figure out how to put it on as the user manual seems to show how to put it on your left hand, but when I went back to the photos on Amazon, everything became clear! Once you have it moulded to the shape of your hand (which takes a few times to get it just right) the brace is wonderfully comfortable and allows you to function normally, especially when typing, when it is particularly helpful. At the moment I am finding that I need this during the day only, as my hand is comfortable without it when I am sleeping, but you can wear this also in bed, and maybe as time goes on I may need to wear it all the time. Very pleased with the comfort and support.

Thumb Brace Splint The thumb brace comes with fitting guide and placed in the shop displaying box. This thumb brace is a perfect fit for me and immediately feel the ease and comfort when wearing, it's like a hug for your poorly thumb. The material is soft and non scratchy and the velcro fastening has a strong secure hold. I really like the less intrusive and cumbersome brace while it allows my hand to breath and not overheat, lets the rest of my fingers have movement and also gives a good support for the thumb.
