Need Z-Offset to work
The instructions are straightforward, BTT gives you what you need on their Github. The only thing that's not working is updating the Z-Offset. Initially, you have to manually probe the Z-Offset which is fine since it's the first time setup. But when setup is done you perform a Z Calibrate. It seems like it's working and the printer.cfg is updated. It's actually not doing anything. And as of 06/27/24, its not working.I didn't know this and spent about an hour or so kind of going crazy but then when I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the ReadMe page, it's mentioned that it's not working so you would need to work around it by setting up the GCODE_OFFSET.That said, I am happy that this probe works pretty well when you get it working. But it still needs more TLC from both Klipper and BTT to get the issues worked out.

Good idea, not a finished product
As of this review, klipper has an error with the Z offset when this probe is also used as the Z probe. So for all those who are going to replace their ABL Z probe with Eddy. I would recommend holding off until they fix the problem. However this is a good idea, the bed mesh is fast and accurate.

Major design flaws, software issues, etc
I'm not new to printer modding, dealing with various microcontrollers, flashing klipper, editing printer.cfg, etc. But this has to be the worst troubleshooting experience I've had so far. I've wasted the better part of 2 days on this and I'm still stuck on problems that are completely out of my control. In comparison, I had a BLTouch installed and configured in maybe 3 hours max, and that included figuring out that two wires needed physically reversed to work with my Creality mainboard.I like the idea of this Eddy product over the BLTouch, I really do, but it needs some serious design changes, quality improvements, and most importantly software polish before it's a finished product and ready for end users. It does not calibrate / sense through the ~4mm thick OEM glass build plate. Switched to some thinnner freebee Overture build plate mats stuck to steel sheet metal, still had calibration errors (something like "frequency not increasing"). Got the Eddy down to the point where it's nearly coplanar with my nozzle, and it finally calibrated. Then it mangled the existing automatically added sections to printer.cfg trying to write it's calibration values. So I manually edited all that so the calibration would parse on Klipper startup. Now it is throwing a garbage "lost communication with MCU" error that comes up every single time it begins Z homing. Tried a completely different model of pi as host, adding a powered USB hub in case it's a power issue, unplugging everything else USB, etc. Still get that error, and/or input/output errors constantly. At this point I'm just going back to the BLTouch. Maybe I'll try the Eddy again in a year. But right now it's just a waste of time and money, even for an experienced user. Those hoping to just install and print, stay far far far away from this.

Unfinished Product -> Replaced with Cartographer 3d
This probe is unfinished garbage from BTT. BTT products are always hit and miss from my experience, and this probe is no different. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but the constant is your always going to be having to fiddle around with it. You buy these probes to not have to constantly fiddle around with a z-offset, therefore I replaced it with a cartographer 3d. I've had perfect layers ever since, works way better.

BTT does it again
It's annoying how good bigtreetech's products are. They are quickly becoming my favorite manufacturer of DIY 3D printer components. This PCB klicky kit is no different. The sensor is quality and generated great bed leveling results for me off the bat. Soldering job is solid and the LED on the board itself is bright. Kind of a hard product to mess up.The included m2.5 inserts and screws were also of good quality. The only feedback I have is that I wish BTT included some extra crimping terminals as wiring harnesses and lengths change.Love that the magnets themselves were screw in too.Hard to go wrong with a PCB Klicky as a bed leveling solution.
