I purchased this as a mobile charger for my BMW Plug-in Hybrid and am very pleased with it. It supports both Level 1 and 2 charging and comes with plug adapters to support both 110 and 240 outlets. It comes with a standard J1772 plug to attach to the car, which means it works with anything but Teslas out of the box. I bought a Tesla adapter just in case I needed it to help someone else out. If you can plug into a 240 outlet properly fused, it charges very quickly using Level 2 with up to 32 AMPs. Keep in mind the cable from the charger unit to your car's input isn't exceptionally long.For an EV charger, this is pretty low-tech but highly functional. There is no app needed on your phone - and it only has 3 buttons on the control unit and a tiny display to control it. It works well, charges my car quickly, and even comes with a nice case that fits nicely in my trunk.Especially for a unit to take on the road, I highly recommend this.

This EV charger gives you 3 options to charge your EV. 40V (NEMA 14-50P), 120V (NEMA 5-20P), or 120V standard household outlet with an included adapter. Having this charger with you always gives you a way to charge up even if all you have is a 120V outlet. Battery Tender is a well known and trusted brand and the build quality reflects that reputation so I feel good about the safety and longevity of this charger. It's super easy to use with no app required. Just plug it in and the charger takes care of everything else. This is the perfect reliable on-the-go charger.

This charger is great and portable. If you have an electric car and love road trips but are afraid you will not be able to charge your vehicle, this is something you need. Having this charger gives me a stress-free drive. Locating a place to plug in the charger should be easy because it uses a 120V plug.

There's nothing wrong with this EV charger. In fact, it's a very well made and servicable portable charger. It has all of the protective features you expect from a top flight brand including overcharging, short circuit, undervoltage, overvoltage, etc. It's great for a portable charger you keep in the trunk due to the option to use a NEMA 14-50R or a 5-20P. The interface and LCD screen is basic but functional. The three year warranty is helpful but it's still tough to see what justifies the price point. I've seen plenty of products that do as much, are made as well and are from a reputable brand at much more reasonable price points. It's a decent unit otherwise. Recommended.

Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This charger looks and feels like a well-made charger, with thick cables and a strong build. I was impressed at the higher quality this one offers. I’ve seen a ton of EV chargers and this definitely is on the nicer side, by providing a great build. It also comes with one of the nicest travel bags I’ve seen included with an EV charger. I’d put the overall quality in the lower side of the upper tier of the quality scale for at home EV chargers and guess that it should hold up well over time.II. Performance – It’s worked great in many ways, with power up to 32A that is adjustable to what you need. It includes a basic, but helpful screen for useful information, such as time, current, voltage, power used and temperature, that others may have. However, after the first few uses I end up not using the screen anymore anyways. It has 6 safety features, to help keep you safe. The cable seems fairly long, but oddly doesn’t say how long it is. It comes with an adaptor to use it with a standard house outlet, that is a 5-15p rather than the typical 5-20p with one pin sideways (see my included pictures). The wall mount for the main unit is probable the best one I’ve seen, providing a strong metal way to attach it to the wall. I feel like the main unit is bigger than most and a bit excessive versus others that I have with the same capability.Overall, this is a fantastic option that offers a high charging ability, with notable quality, convenience and all the basic features needed, from a trusted brand. This item is lightweight and simple to move. The connectors consider 110 or 240 outlets which is very helpful. The 240 choice is a lot quicker and incredible for family use. As you see the fitting on this charger is viable with most EV vehicles, so mine is a model Y Tesla and fits impeccably. Charging power is perfect, yet at the same time you want to recall this is a low amp charger which just gives 32 AMP. There isn't a lot of get together for this unit and it's generally, convenient. I accept, it's worth the effort for the worth and phenomenal quality. I have the wall charger also from a similar brand and it is quick charger. I appreciate that this charger upholds both level 1 and 2 charging. It upholds NEMA 14-50P and 5-20P, which makes it wonderful to save in the vehicle for charging at homes, RV leaves, or different areas with standard outlets. The straightforward plan works with on-gadget buttons without the requirement for extra applications or matching up.
