Excellent device! Just make sure all the parts are tightened on it, before hooking it up. It is working great, keeping the deer and cats out of my garden. Would highly recommend this device to all gardeners or anyone who loves their plants.

We gave these a try because the reviews were good enough for the low price. Do not buy them. We bought 4 to keep the deer out of our garden but I only put two into service to guard what was already growing. In one month, I had one break, replaced it, and then that one broke.Both sprinklers snapped off where the plastic stem threads into the metal base that has a spike to drive into the ground. The reason it is breaking here is due to poor plastic part design; at the top of the threads there is a sharp interior corner as the plastic stem transitions to a larger diameter to allow for an o-ring to seal the plastic to the metal. This is creating a stress riser, and the force of the sprinkler spraying is snapping the stem. A small radius in the corner would reduce the stress riser.So, if you buy these, expect them to continue to break.

Pros: Easy to assemble. Kind of works as intended, for a while.Cons: Sensitivity settings seem to be worthless. No noticeable difference between the settings.Spontaneous operation constantly. The heat of the day or the wind would set it off, then the cooling effect from the water or just the dripping water itself would set it off. Just had to manually turn it off during the day or if it was windy.Stopped working after just a couple of months. Batteries were still strong and new batteries didn't help. Just quit working.Not a good unit. The concept is great and i have used other brands for years. This one is not worth buying.

I want to keep rats/ mice out of my garden. Was hoping it was a direct spray when close up. Only does long distance direct spray. But so far, I think it works.

Got this to try and keep the deer away from our new landscaping. The entire thing is made of plastic and is super cheap. It stopped working within a few days, so I sent it back. It may have just been mine that was bad, but I'm going to spend more money for a better quality sprinkler. Trying to save a buck was not worth it on this product.

For those of you who have dogs, cats, deer, possums, raccoons, and birds who ruin your yard with bathroom and eating habits, get this. We have it all including an armadillo. This is the ONLY thing we have found in over 12 years of living here that works since we have neighbors who have now populated the woods with a feral cat population, and thusly creating problems with possums and racoons. Our county does not have a fix and release program. As for the deer, I can now have a garden that isn't pooped in by cats, or devoured by deer, who incidentally tore down the netting fence we built around the garden to get to our garden. I like these as the do not leak and I can place them where ever needed. Cannot say enough about these repellers. This brand survived the rare snow we had in GA, while the hundred dollar version did not.

I have been at my wit's end with the feral cats around my home and I felt like my dogs were prisoners in their own yard-cat parasites in poop (dogs' favorite buried treats! Yuck... ) from TNVR cats in the neighborhood that got them sick. I was having to walk them leashed even with our secure fence. Well, not anymore, since buying two of these sprinklers. The trick is moving them around and varying the schedule from day to day. Night being the best time to leave on. If you have high water pressure, don't open your valve too much. A plus!
