Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT Solar Charge Controller (Bluetooth) - Charge Controllers for Solar Panels - 100V, 50 amp, 12/24-Volt

I’ve been running a full Victron setup in my RV since 2021, including the MultiPlus inverter/charger, the SmartSolar 100/30 charge controller, the BMV-712 battery monitor, and the Digital MultiControl panel. After years of use across various climates and conditions, I can confidently say this system has been absolutely rock solid. Each component was easy to install and configure, and the integration between devices is seamless. The MultiPlus handles all of my AC needs flawlessly, switching between shore power, generator, and battery without a hiccup. The SmartSolar charge controller keeps my solar system optimized and running efficiently, even on cloudy days. The BMV-712 gives me precise battery monitoring at a glance, and the MultiControl panel makes managing the inverter simple from inside the RV. What I appreciate most is how this system has given me real freedom. I can boondock for days without stress, knowing exactly how my batteries are doing and trusting that the system will just work. It’s added reliability and convenience that truly changed how I RV. Highly recommend Victron to anyone serious about upgrading their mobile power setup. Worth every penny.

Good bang for your buck, works great with my aux battery in my van paired with two 230W panels. Great, accurate monitoring, easy to use app, plug and play install and it really seems to get the absolute most out of the panels.

This was my first REAL solar build. But it didn't start out that way. I was planning on 12v because that's what Ive always done and that's what I was comfortable with. I knew my inverter needed to be replaced and I knew my wires weren't nearly big enough for my intended final wattage. So with the flexibility this offers I decided to branch out and switch my 4 batteries from 12v parallel to a 2s2p 24v bank. This move brought my wires into spec by halving my amps while allowing me to charge twice as fast. Now I wish I would've gotten one capable of 48v (or 70 amps charging) but this is big enough for my needs. I've built 2 more, smaller systems now with victron controllers. I feel so silly for basing previous systems around cheaper controllers. Victron is absolutely worth the price. I've got 6 - 200 watt panels in 3s2p pumping in a full load, 1200 watts. I've done all the things you're not supposed to do to this thing. Hooked it up to PV with no battery. Shorted the battery terminals. No problem. The Bluetooth interface is fantastic. I wish the history had dates instead of just saying "5 days ago" for example but otherwise it's great. 8 gauge terminals to get your full 50 amps. also I find it kind of surprising that these controllers don't have built in temperature sensors. not a huge deal since most BMS will handle that but extra protection always good. all in all a great controller if you have it sized right. if you have any intention of pulling more than 1200 watts or are trying to charge anything over 24v this isn't for you. If I were doing it over I'd opt for the 150/60 for another hundred bucks and start saving to switch to 48v batteries. But again that's just me being greedy and wanting to experiment. 600 AH @ 24v. 3000 watt inverter. and 1200 watts incoming because of this guy. Perfect for my off grid camp but I would most definitely need more wattage if I were cycling this every day. I'm only there 4-5 days a month so they're always full when I get back.

This is a fantastic product! I installed with with two 220w solar panels and a 300ah Lifepo4 battery. Everything went smoothly and works as intended. Learning the app was quite easy too.

I started my DIY solar journey with Renogy and used to think Victron was overpriced. After finally trying it out and using both with similar arrays, I get it. The performance is unparalleled. The app is incredible, offering deep customization of parameters, and the technical documentation is actually descriptive and helpful. I love the ability to configure the charge profile to be gentle on my battery bank, and the integration capabilities with other Victron equipment are truly awesome. I’m replacing my old Renogy MPPT with a second Victron today. It is absolutely worth the investment.

Ich nutze den Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 in meinem 12 V-Solarsystem – und bin rundum begeistert. Das Gerät wirkt sehr hochwertig, ist sauber verarbeitet und lässt sich einfach anschließen. Die Bluetooth-Funktion ist ein echtes Highlight: Mit der kostenlosen VictronConnect-App sehe ich alle wichtigen Daten in Echtzeit (Spannung, Ladestrom, Batterie-Zustand etc.) und kann sogar Einstellungen anpassen. Die App läuft stabil und ist sehr benutzerfreundlich. Technisch ist der MPPT-Regler extrem effizient – auch bei bewölktem Himmel oder schwacher Sonne wird das Maximum aus den Solarpanels geholt. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass mein System deutlich schneller und besser lädt als vorher mit einem PWM-Regler. Die automatische 12/24V-Erkennung funktioniert einwandfrei, und auch unter höherer Belastung bleibt der Regler absolut stabil und zuverlässig. Fazit: Wer ein intelligentes, leistungsstarkes und langlebiges Ladegerät sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Top-Produkt – klare Kaufempfehlung!
