GREAT CHEAP FAN
A cheap, mostly plastic fan! A thoroughly impressive, cheap, mostly plastic fan! I would definitely buy again! The shipping box was smaller because it came in parts. Don't worry, though, the packaging may be practical but the fan is VERY simple and easy to assemble. Just remember that the large plastic nut that holds the fan on the motor is a reverse thread. One or two other parts just pop into place. No tools required. Really. On the website this large plastic nut holding the blade is black with white lettering saying "Honeywell". The nut I received is solid red with no lettering. I prefer the red, but mostly because I prefer no lettering. What you're left with is a nicely sized oscillating table fan that, even though it's mostly thin plastic, looks like an attractive heavy metal fan from the 30's or 40's.I took a suggestion from another reviewer, I.C., and haven't used the blade cover and I love it. However, you should know that the manufacturer definitely did not skimp here. The provided COVER is METAL, substantial, and has smaller openings for the fingers, noses and paws of children or pets. The cover also looks good. In addition, the BLADES are flexible PLASTIC and didn't hurt me or do any damage the several times I have bumped them when they were moving. The four black control buttons on the front of the black base feel strong, work smoothly, are very easy to operate and look good. They are definitely easier and more comfortable to use than the round, twist switch many fans have somewhere in the rear.Sound is important on a fan and I don't know how it could be better. All I'm hearing is the 'blade in the wind' sound and I really like it. The motor and oscillating mechanism are, at least so far, silent. All in all, I'm very impressed with this cheap fan. IMO some sharp people put it together. Trust me, though, I will update this review if I change my mind.

Great little fan for the summer!
I purchased this fan earlier this year after my previous one wore out. So far it has worked great. It's a plastic fan, so it's quiet, but nonetheless moves plenty of air even at the lowest setting, can easily feel it from a few feet away; it did an excellent job keeping me cool this summer. Can easily set it to oscillate to provide cooling throughout a room, or just turn on that setting temporarily to adjust position, as well as adjust the tilt, to point it at yourself continuously if you're sitting at a desk/etc while using it.Also easy to put together, and easy to open afterwards as needed for cleaning. Only one thing missing in the instructions: there's a triangular piece on the rear grille assembly, looks to be used for packaging purposes to hold the fan blades, so they will not scrape against other parts during shipment. You'll need to pry out that piece in order to put the grille on, instructions are missing this step. The packaging, incidentally, is very thorough; their shipping dept took great care to protect each of the components from being damaged in shipment.

Easy to clean, switches are more accessible, extremely quiet, pushes a lot of air
This is a great little fan. It was packed securely in pieces, but easy to assemble. I had it functioning in less than 10 minutes. I like the black color - it’s rich, works with any decor, and is unobtrusive. It’s a very quiet fan, a good thing because it’s been so hot my fans are running constantly. I have a fan on each side of the room which gives me a great cross breeze even in humid weather. Two things I particularly like about this model are the buttons are in the front instead of the back which makes it so much easier to turn on and off. Why any of the fans have the switches in the back is beyond me. It makes it extremely difficult to access. The other thing I like is this fan can be taken apart for cleaning. The grill easily comes off and can be run under the faucet making the fan look brand new instead of full of dust and cat hair. Overall, the design is greatly improved and I’m very happy with this fan.

Great Fan For Cooling Smaller Rooms
Had issues setting up the fan due to confusing instructions, but once it was successfully set up, the fan worked without issue. It is fairly quiet, with the exception of some low frequency rumble, but I don't mind it at all. It cools my bedroom nicely, which is why I bought it. I like the push button controls on the base as that means I don't have to reach for the top of the fan to use a dial, which adds to the fan's ease of use. Overall, I'd recommend this product if you can figure your way past confusing instructions.

One of THE bestest fans I ever owned !!
This fan is amazing!!! Very happy with it.I've used this fan nearly every day since getting it. And it runs all day and in to the night, with few breaks. The motor never has gotten hot or even warm, that I am aware of.This fan has 3 speeds and pushes air easily at all 3. I tend to only need the lowest speed and sometimes wished it had a slower one yet. Rarely do I have need for the fastest speed.I love that the cage is metal and easily removes for cleaning. And yes, even the blades can be removed easily. The blades, body, stand are plastic and yet it is very weighted. Never had it tip over or even give me the thought that it could. The base is quite wide, keeping the unit well supported.More times than not, it is oscillating and has a wonderful span. It is one of the most quietest fans I ever met. And like I mentioned earlier, it pushes a lot of air. Nice and cooling!! The fan can also be positioned up and down, by simply tilting the head.Yep, I really like this fan and highly recommend it.

Great, quiet fan for a low price
Easy to assemble, moves air well, and is quiet. Make sure you tighten the parts well as it is noisy when not tightened properly. The red piece (as seen in this photo behind the Honeywell logo in front of the fan blades) is the part that holds on the fan blade (it wasn’t obvious when I put it together, because I had assumed the piece to hold on the fan blades would be black like the rest of the parts). Very satisfied with this purchase.
