Awful!
I'm amazed by the positive reviews this book is getting. I found it very poorly written and having very little substance. It reads like a bad high-school essay, listing musical concepts with very basic, sometimes ambiguous, definitions and stopping there. It doesn't go into any depth or provide any structure to better understand the theory and it provides no insight into how to apply the concepts.There are many good music theory books out there... this one is a waste of money.
