I bought these in a 4 pack at a box store. They work as advertised as far as hooking and the ratchet mechanism, but the problem I have is that they work themselves loose during a road trip. I have a LBC (little British Car) that I take to car shows in an enclosed trailer. I strap the car down on it's tie-down points in a X fashion so that the car is secure and shouldn't move any as I tow. Over a trip of, say, 100 miles, at least two, sometimes more, straps will work themselves loose. I haven't had it loose enough to fall off the tie-down points-yet anyway. I've use these ten or eleven trips now, so I can't imagine it's the straps stretching from being new. I'm now looking for a different set.
