The best!!
I purchased this because of the many different functions and I have not been disappointed. I use it practically every day and have bought a few as gifts because I can't recommend it enough. I mainly use the pressure cooker because you can have a very decent meal within 20-25 minutes. Everything is tender and tasty when pressure cooked. This also makes the best risotto in so little time and with little effort compared to the cooker top method. There is very little this amazing gadget can't cook. It is so easy to serve from and to clean. If there were a criticism, it would be that after much use the inner metal pot needs replacing and it appears that you can't buy these separately. This means that you have to buy a whole new pressure cooker which seems a shame when it works perfectly well otherwise.

Very handy for stews
We used to have a slow cooker for making stews because it takes a long time to tenderize meat. But this pressure cooker does it in a fraction of the time. Something that takes 6 hours in a slow cooker can be done in 1 hour in this. It can also act as a slow cooker if you like, steam veg, cook soup, rice and some other functions. It's easy to use and clean and so far has done exactly what we bought it for.One criticism is the saute function. You'll be there until Christmas if you use it and if you're browning meat or frying onions you'd be better off doing it in a frying pan and transferring it to the pot.

Best purchase in a long time - a must-have
I was tired of buying tinned beans or alternatively cooking them myself for ages so I decided to treat myself to the Crock-Pot express and we haven't stopped using it. The time to cook beans is down 75% and the mess is minimal compared to how often they boil over on the cooker.Curious of how versatile the Crock-Pot really is, we have made various Indian curries, beans, lentils, soups and have discovered that it's an absolutely must-have item. It's a bit bulky to put away and store, so instead we have cleared room for it on the kitchen counter so it's conveniently located and in use at least 2-3 times a week. It cuts down cooking time, the braise function turns many recipes into one-pot recipes and cooking on busy days has never been easier. It has a slow cooking function as well so our old slow cooker.I made broth the other day, filled the pot with left-over bones from the freezer, added water and let it boil under pressure for a couple of hours - without having to check on it even once! The result was fantastic and I was very pleased not having to watch over a big pot on the cooker for 6-8 hours!I warmly recommend this item and encourage you to experiment with this incredibly versatile pressure cooker that is so much more than just a pressure cooker.

Excellent for almost every meal
Purchased this as an early Christmas present for my mum. She’s been wanting one for a few months and I got it at a good price and used a gift card on it too. I was hesitant at first as we didn’t know if it would be very good, but it works brilliantly! My mum has already cooked 2 whole chickens (which we put in the oven to crisp up after), 2 soups and a chilli con carne dish (which was one of the recipes in the recipe book you get with the Crockpot - we found this dish was a little to liquidy, but we didn’t use kidney beans so that may have been why). It’s simple enough to use, if you read the instructions and watch a few videos online on how to use it. It’s also brilliant for making quick meals, especially after a long day at work.

Best kitchen equipment ever
I waited well over a year to write a review so I had time to use my crockpot and test it’s limits.Well, let me tell you this, first: this has become an essential in my kitchen! I use it several times a week and so far, it looks like it’s going to last forever! There are so many safety system that they don’t even mention that it’s near impossible to break it. Soon as it heats up too much, it will stop and sound the alert. So no explosion or other unsavoury thing that can come with pressure cooking. The delay button and the keep warm function are fantastic tools for working parents. Pop the ingredients in, put the delay, enter the cooking program, and it will do its magic while you’re away. And when you come home with hungry kids, a hot, freshly cooked meal is waiting for you. Lifesaver doesn’t begin to qualify it!The other Thing I love about it is that my food will NEVER burn (unless I set myself up for that, I.e: not enough water for rice). I love that I can put let’s say lentils to cook, and not have to worry about it until it’s done. No watching, no stirring, no fiddling with the heat... meanwhile I can bathe the kid, spend quality time with them, read a book, watch an episode of Friends, etc...when you buy such equipment, one of the worries is that once the novelty effect wears off, it will be just one more big gadget wasting space in your cupboards. Well, fear not! That is not going to happen! That said, I need to go and make some porridge for the family... in my crockpot. And then I’ll get the soup started for tonight... in my crockpot! And tonight I’ll get some overnight slow cooked rice porridge... IN MY CROCKPOT!!So, if you haven’t gotten the hint, I love my Crockpot and I think every family in the Kingdom should have one. Heck! Get them on NHS! (This or any other similar item of other brands. I truly believe they all work the same)
