NO IMPRESSED
I RETURNED THIS PRODUCT AFTER TRYING TO SUBSTITUTE THE CUTTING BLADES. SWITCHING TO THE HEDGE TRIMMER WAS NOT SIMPLE. I HAD MY DOUBTS ABOUT THE GRASS CUTTER BLADES AFTER TRYING TO TRIM BUSHES BECAUSE I COULDN'T SWITCH TO THE HEDGE BLADE. I WENT BACK TO MY ELECTRIC HEDGE TRIMMER AND MAKITA BATTERY TRIMMER.

Works well with hedges up to 1/2-inch limbs / branches; low-budget tool category;
The media could not be loaded. There's some assembly to perform: the security handle needs to be attached and 4 included screws need to be used.The plastic protector shield between blade and handle needs to be attached with a click.The security handle and its function are a little bit flimsy for my taste, like the overall build-quality of the tool. The security handle's trigger (which is the black part) is not symmetrical, and that is not related to my install, actually, that is like it arrived.The cutting performance is actually good -- it will be sufficient for home use scenarios where hedge trimming is an occasional thing to do.Overall, this tool is situated in the low budget field, and I think it is usable for the occasional user.Two batteries are included, they are proprietary, and I do not know of any replacement options, however, I think 2 batteries will last long enough for most usages in that field (home user). Charging requires the included cable charger that allows to charge one battery at a time.Branch thickness can be up to 1/2 inch according to my tests -- with some effort maybe 5/8th.The tool is lightweight and easy to handle.I can't comment on price-value relation because pricing may change over time. This is a good tool if you do not want to spend much money and you do not expect an outstanding quality tool that lasts forever -- as mentioned, it is a low-budget tool -- my star rating is just to be seen in that category, not in comparison with high-end tools.

Nice Makits knock off
Externally, identical to the Makita, does not sound quite as smooth and perhaps a bit less powerful, so no doubt some internal differences, but if you already have some 18 or21 volt Makita style batteries, this is a good budget alternative, and the hedge trimmer attachment is a bonusGood for the price

My trimmer does not work
Well, I'm not Shure the trimmer is bad or it is intended to work the way. The sheers have a gap between blades and it chews gras/shrubs instead of cutting.Almost the same story with the trimmer. One side of the blades moves and another side gets static. I understand that one side always will be static/locked but the static/locked side does not get locked (stay in place). So when, I cut a shrub, the static/locked side blade is lose. The shrub gets between moving blade and the static/locked blade and the moving blade with the shrub pushes static/locked blade because static/locked blade is not locked and in the end the trimmer chews the shrub instead of cutting.All in all I will try to return the item and get the same one maybe the item is broken and new one will work as it intended.

Hedge Trimmer Blades difficult to Attach
This trimmer comes with the short finger blades attached. They work fine and they remove and reinstall with no problems. When I try to attach the hedge trimmer blade it won't allow me to put the heel lock in place. I ordered a replacement that does the same thing so I think maybe it's me that can't figure it out. I take off 1 star for poor directions, 1 star for poor engineering, and the 3rd star for having no product support. I will return both units and buy the Makita make.Edit: I figured out the problem. I needed to flip the small disc inside the trimmer. Restored one star. Still one removed for bad directions, and one for no product support.
