Excellent blind box toys(if you can get them at a good price)
The media could not be loaded. My nephew loves these. I buy lots of these and give them out as rewards. The surprise adds quite a bit to the appeal and it is quite fun opening and build each new dinosaur. Each dino comes in a ball, unassembled, with a packet of slime and an “accessory”.We tend to not ply with the slime too much because it is a bit messy, but on the spectrum of slime it’s pretty good, not too sticky.Things to note about this.1. It requires assembly. Most of the sets were very easy, although some were a bit more difficult (thankfully instructions are included if needed), it can also take a good amount of force to get some pieces together, so it could be difficult for small children to do alone (but I think it adds to the enjoyment of working together to build something.)2. The dinosaurs don’t always stay together. The actual pieces of the dinos feel very durable, but sometimes during play a body part may fall off and potentially get lost. This depends greatly on which dino it is and how rough your child is while playing. Some of the dinos hold up exceptionally well (stegosaurus and T-rex) and others can barely hold together (e.g. frills on dilophosaurus can barely stick for a few seconds). I used some glue on a few of the non-articulating pieces to fix this.3. Be prepared for duplicates. This is a downside of all blind box toys, the more you get, the more likely it is that you wind up with multiples. I think it’s a minor annoyance personally, but it’s worth keeping in mind. I use it as an opportunity to teach my nephew to share by letting him give the extras to friends. And you can reduce the issue by buying different version of the 5 surprise line each time(e.g. the volcano version)4. You may not get a dinosaur. There are eight variants(and a 9th that is just a color variant of the t-rex figure) 6 of the 8 are dinos. But the other two are vehicles, a jeep and a helicopter, which brings me to the darker side…5. The “accessories” and theme aren’t for everyone. The theme is “dinosaur hunt” each dino comes with some kind of a trap to “hunt” them. Some of which come off as unnecessarily cruel. The pterodactyl comes with a set of shackles, the brontosaurus a bear trap, the amargasaurus comes with a ball and chain. The helicopter and jeep come with missle launchers and pincers to “hunt” the dinos. It seems a bit dark to me, so I put the accessories up. But that depends on what you think is appropriate. Also, as a side note, despite the dinos being very tough, the vehicles feel a bit more fragile, particularly the blades of the helicopter can be bent and broken quite easily.Overall, I think these, like the other 5surprise dino lines are great. I Usually buy several anytime I can get them for less than $5 usd per ball. They are great to have in a drawer for when my nephew comes over or for when I need a last minute gift for the children of friends and family.

Great gift
I liked giving these as a gift- kids have fun opening them and seeing the surprise, but the toy usually isn’t great.
