Excellent bushcraft knife
Quickly became my favorite bushcraft and hiking knife. The Scandinavian grind blade remains sharp and can take a beating. It does an outstanding job at finely shaving wood for firestarters and creating knotches. I also use it to seperate fibers to make natural rope. Sometimes I use the butt of the handle to scrape fatwood to start a fire. The back of the blade is 90° which is perfect for striking your ferro rod. Unlike many of the other knives Morakniv makes, this one has a full tang blade. So no worries about using it to boton wood. It lightly locks into place in the holster so stays in place but can be pulled out with ease. Down side is it goes too far into the holster. Only about 1/4 of the handle sticks out.

Good Camping / Utilitarian Knife
I came across this knife while looking at custom sheaths on Etsy and liked the shape and blade design, so I looked more into this company and blade. I was looking for something durable for camping and hiking, able to retain a good edge, and easy to sharpen - this knife fits that bill perfectly.Out of the box it was razor sharp and I was able to shave hair off my arm. The blade style and thickness are perfect for my intended use, and while it will require more maintenance due to the carbon steel - needing to be oiled and stropped to keep the edge free of rust - it's not anything I already don't do to maintain my gear. The plastic sheath is utilitarian and does the job; however, I would not rely on it to keep the knife secured or to last long, based on the construction of the belt loop. There are other models with better sheaths, but I had already planned to have a custom leather sheath made for the knife, so the sheath had no impact on my decision - if you buy this knife with basic plastic-composite sheath I would recommend looking for another sheath. The sheath is the ONLY down side, and aftermarket sheaths aren't very expensive.I am a retired Infantryman and have been an avid outdoors-man since my early teens - I would recommend this knife for anyone - an all around good purchase and I can see passing this knife down to my son.

Great knife
Beautiful knife with a sharp edge right out of the box. Carbon steel for striking ferro rod, full tang for strength and comfortable grip that fits my hand nicely. Sheath is very rigid and knife actually “locks” into it so it’ll stay put when I’m walking through thick areas in the woods. Very happy overall

Awesome smaller bushcraft knife
Perspective context: I'm an amateur collector of cheaper, but good quality knives, generally of a value of under $75. I prefer carbon steel, and I love to get them hair-splitting sharp. I've got a variety of Moras, including three of their carving knives. This is a great, smaller bushcraft knife. It's not as robust as its larger, more expensive cousins, but will do the job for most of your basic knife duties, including moderate batoning. It's pretty sharp out of the box, but of course I felt the need to do a little stone, ceramic and stropping magic. It's now stupid sharp.I love the heft and length of this knife. I've always felt more confidence with heavier, full-tang blades, and this is no exception. The 90° spine is perfect for sparking ferro rods, and the carbon steel is easy to keep super sharp, even if may not retain an edge as well as the more brittle stainless. I find it able to take an edge better on average. The grip feels good in the hand.Drawbacks are few. On the knife itself, I wish there was a sharpening choil. The blade has a coating right to the edge that will help preserve it from rust, but which is easily scratched and removed if your sharpening is careless. The grip has a small to moderate bolster, which will protect your index finger for most work, but may not be adequate enough with heavy point-forward use like drilling, punching or stabbing. On the plastic sheath, I got the "survival" kit with the sharpener and the ferro rod. Unless my blade needs extreme edge repair, I will never use the super-coarse diamond sharpener. That might be better for an axe blade. This blade needs a 400 to 1000 grit stone, some ceramic honing, and then a leather strop to make it awesome. A 150-grit diamond strip is just too aggressive and will quickly ruin the edge back quite a ways. The ferro rod is small but works fine. All in all, this is a great knife for the average camper, outdoorsman and basic bushcrafter. Unless you're a reenactor, a serious bushcrafter/YouTuber with something to prove, or someone who uses a knife to pry tent stakes out of the ground, you're probably not going to need anything beyond this knife. Enjoy!
