Gentle and Effective
As someone with a history of rosacea, I’ve had a love hate relationship with retinol. Love the results, but hate that, no matter how careful I am with it; staggering days, layering with moisturizers, etc. - it always ends up burning my skin. I get tight, dry patches that take days and sometimes weeks to heal. So when Eight Saints came out with their version, I was intrigued. I trust this brand; their All In Eye Cream and Up The Anti night cream are a permanent part of my skincare routine. And guess what? I’ve used Smooth Sailing every single night for 10 nights and no dryness! My skin feels soft and hydrated, pores are looking smaller and my face has a healthy glow. The cream is light in texture and sinks right in; not greasy at all. It’s unscented, full of good stuff and minus the bad. I’m so happy I can use retinol again -thank you Eight Saints!

Great! My face feels so much better!
I absolutely love this moisturizer! The texture is super smooth and creamy, and it soaks right into my skin without feeling greasy. It’s hard to find a retinol product that doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin, but this one is gentle and hydrating. I use it at night, and I’ve already noticed my skin looking brighter and more even, and the fine lines around my eyes and mouth look softer.I also really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free. My skin can be sensitive, and this hasn’t caused any breakouts or redness at all. It just feels clean and refreshing. I wake up with soft, healthy-looking skin, and it layers well with the rest of my skincare. It’s definitely earned a permanent spot in my routine. If you’re looking for a retinol cream that actually works and feels amazing, this is it.

Another awesome eight saints product!
I have been using eight saints products for several years (after ordering their discovery kit that I saw on a Facebook ad), & my skin seems to love their products, so when I saw their new product, (the retinol facial moisturizer cream), I had to try it. My skin immediately absorbs this lightweight (but very rich) cream, without feeling greasy, & it doesn't leave behind a sticky residue like other brands I have tried. I like that it is fragrance free, & it is made with very natural ingredients, (that doesn't make my sensitive skin break out). My aging skin looks smoother, softer & feels silky after using this product. I will definitely be ordering this again, & I am happy to recommend this product as well as the other ones I have tried by this company.(daydreamer, cloud whip, night shift, & soulmate😀)

“Light, Clean, and Works”
I have combination skin, and this stuff really helps balance things out. Also, it has this subtle, fresh scent that feels clean but not overpowering — like your skin just naturally smells great. What I really love is that it’s packed with clean ingredients and The packaging feels simple and kind of luxurious in a no-frills way.Would I buy it again? Yep. It’s not the cheapest moisturizer out there, but honestly, the quality makes it worth it. My skin's been looking smoother, feeling softer, and just overall more even.

Finally, a Retinol Cream That Respects My Skin’s Limits
At 50+, I’ve come to understand my skin pretty well. It’s dry—always has been—and increasingly temperamental with age. Add to that the fine lines becoming not-so-fine, especially around my eyes and mouth, and you’ve got a face that needs care, not punishment. That’s why I was so relieved—almost surprised—by how well the Eight Saints Retinol Facial Moisturizer worked for me.First, the texture: it’s creamy but not heavy, and it absorbs in that sweet spot between “gone instantly” and “sitting there forever.” It doesn’t make my face feel coated, but it does make it feel supported—like it’s actually helping to restore moisture, not just glossing over the issue. The retinol part made me nervous, honestly. I’ve been burned before—redness, peeling, the whole thing. But this formula clearly gets that not everyone can tolerate an aggressive approach. I've used it nightly for six weeks now, and not once have I woken up tight or flaky. No stinging, no angry patches. Instead, I’ve noticed a slow and steady improvement: my skin tone looks more even, the texture around my jaw and neck is smoother, and my under-eye area looks a little less like crepe paper.I also appreciate what’s not in it—no fragrance, which is a big deal when your skin throws a tantrum over the smallest irritant. I didn’t have to “power through” anything. It just worked, quietly and consistently, like the best products do.It’s not a magic wand—and I wouldn’t trust any product that promises to erase time—but this has absolutely earned a spot in my nightly routine. It’s effective, respectful, and most importantly, it understands what my skin needs at this age. I’ll be repurchasing without hesitation.

Gotta give it more time
(Age 35) I don't often find too many reviews based on African American skin so I typically have to trial and error skincare products myself.Packaging was on point! The box came bubble wrapped to prevent damage. The container itself was plastic wrapped to ensure no product tampering.I have used this product for about a month, specifically using it every other day or so during the evening since this would be my first retinol type product. The product itself is fairly fragrance free. I can smell a scent but it's the typical "fragrance free" smell just like saying water has no smell...it does, it's just nothing specific. It's creamy and absorbs very quickly without leaving a greasy finish. I haven't noticed any adverse reactions when pairing it with my other skincare products (toners, serums, etc). I can't say that I have noticed a drastic or even slight change in my skin when it comes to the fine lines and wrinkles but I've only just started perfecting my skincare routine in the last couple of months. Despite the small size of the container, the product seems to last quite a while. I will have to return at a later date with an update and photos after a few more months of consistent use to determine whether it's holding true to it's claims. Overall, it seems to be a pretty decent product. So far, no complaints.
