Its a good replacement for my old fx83 GT plus
Who doesn't love the old fx83 GT plus calculator. Its something you expected to be with you forever. growing old together, experiencing life's highs and lows. However for me, this dream was short lived. After roughly 10 years together my fx83 GT plus got me through school, university and my PhD. But no further. It took me some time to heal but eventually, when I felt ready I started looking again. Then I found the fx115 ES plus. While we are still newly together I get the same sense of ease and commitment to working out problems as with the fx83 GT plus. It works well, adds subtracts and lots of other stuff. If youre in a similar boat to myself and feel its time to move on, the Casio fx-115ES Plus is a good choice.

My fav calculator so far- and its cute
The Casio fx-115ES Plus 2nd Edition is an excellent calculator and definitely worth the purchase if you’re a student or someone who works with math or science regularly. It feels solid and well-built, with responsive buttons that make typing fast and accurate. The Display is a huge plus because it shows fractions, roots, and equations exactly how they look in a textbook, which makes checking your work much easier. I’ve used it for calculus, physics, and statistics, and it handles all the functions I need with no issues. The menu layout is intuitive once you get used to it, and the battery life seems great so far. Overall, it’s reliable, easy to use, and perfect for both school and professional use. I'd say its a must-have for anyone serious about math or science.

It is good for Middle/Start of Highschool
It is very much worth the money I paid for it. This calculator worked well for my 9th grade geometry class but it will not be suitable for my tenth grade algebra. The color is very sleek and I really like it but the quality is just a cheap kind of plastic across the whole thing. It is durable and the display is clear as day. Also, it has very good battery life, I didn't have to replace it for a year and I don't plan of having to.

Much recommended, very happy with it
I initially got the fx-991ES (because the lower number of this one made me assume it had less capability) but actually this is the U.S. version of the 991ES and it is slightly more capable. The 991ES is the international version, and Casio is preferred in education outside of the U.S. (here, TI is used most), so maybe some abilities are removed from the 991ES to satisfy educator requests (I don't recall what these are and too lazy to check, but essentially these two calculators are the same, the differences are super minor). I do like the looks of the black version better, but both of them look nice. I got this one as a "spare" and so I always have one nearby to grab, because I like it so much. Plus I'm worried that its days are numbered because Casio seems to be moving to a menu-based version with less printing on and above the keys, and I prefer to just learn the keys for quick access. I got interested in these calculators (initially the 991ES) because there are nice Android calculator apps that are meant to mimic these, and I wanted the real thing. If you are interested in this calculator, my impression is the 991ES has more useful reviews (I wrote one for that too), so maybe look there to get a more serious review than this one and others that just say "it's great." I'll just say it is super at symbolic math (fractions, square roots etc) and very fast and convenient to to use for that. I have no complaints about this calculator and strongly recommend it.
